About Monstro

Monstro is the operating system for governed financial intelligence. We build governance and intelligence infrastructure that enables artificial intelligence to operate safely, explainably, and at institutional scale. We exist because the level of financial guidance historically available to a small group should be accessible to many more people. By combining AI with deep institutional infrastructure, we help financial institutions deliver more personalized, responsible, and life-changing financial support to millions of individuals.

We’re building mission-critical systems in a highly regulated domain, and we care deeply about doing it right. If you’re motivated by meaningful problems, high standards, and shaping infrastructure that improves financial outcomes, you’ll feel at home here.

About the Role

As a Senior Mobile Product Designer, you will play a key role in designing and building out our Android application from the ground up. This role will be heavily focused on creating intuitive, high-quality native mobile experiences across onboarding, financial workflows, AI-powered interactions, and core user journeys as we expand the Monstro platform onto Android.

You’ll own the end-to-end mobile design process—from early concepts and user flows through high-fidelity production designs—working closely with product and engineering to bring scalable, production-ready experiences to life. While the immediate focus will be Android, you’ll also contribute to broader mobile and product initiatives across the platform as the company grows.

You’ll help establish mobile UX standards, interaction patterns, and scalable design systems that drive usability, trust, engagement, and long-term product quality across Monstro’s mobile ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end design of Monstro’s Android application—from early concepts and user flows through high-fidelity production-ready experiences.
  • Design intuitive native mobile experiences across onboarding, financial workflows, AI-powered interactions, personalization, and core user journeys.
  • Drive UX direction for complex, AI-powered workflows—translating technical capabilities into intuitive, trustworthy, and user-friendly mobile interactions.
  • Shape and refine the core mobile product experience, making thoughtful design decisions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Design high-quality interfaces, interaction patterns, and mobile-first experiences that improve usability, adoption, retention, and long-term engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to bring polished, scalable Android experiences to life with a high bar for craft and execution quality.
  • Establish and evolve mobile design standards, patterns, and scalable systems to ensure consistency across the platform and future mobile experiences.
  • Design and iterate on high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and production-ready interfaces using a rapid, feedback-driven design process.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing to align user experience, product direction, and brand across all mobile touch points.
  • Contribute to broader mobile and product initiatives across the Monstro platform as the company and product ecosystem continue to grow.

What Success Looks Like

  • Complex financial workflows are translated into intuitive, high-quality native mobile experiences that feel seamless, trustworthy, and easy to use.
  • Monstro’s Android application launches with a high level of polish, usability, and consistency across core user journeys.
  • Priorities, scope, and timelines are clearly communicated across engineering, design, and leadership teams.
  • Design work moves efficiently from concept to production with clarity, speed, and a consistently high bar for craft and execution.
  • Design decisions are thoughtful, well-reasoned, and influence product direction, mobile UX strategy, and overall user experience standards.
  • Early users successfully adopt and engage with the mobile product, with user feedback driving rapid iteration and continuous improvement.
  • Mobile design standards, interaction patterns, and scalable systems begin to take shape, improving consistency, quality, and efficiency across the product team.
  • Product and engineering collaboration results in high-quality implementation and production-ready mobile experiences.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6–10+ years of product design experience, with a strong focus on native mobile applications, consumer-facing products, and driving user engagement.
  • Experience designing Android and/or iOS mobile experiences, with a strong understanding of mobile UX best practices, interaction patterns, and responsive behavior across devices.
  • Experience designing AI-driven or AI-assisted product experiences, with a strong understanding of human-AI interaction patterns, trust, transparency, and explainability.
  • Strong expertise in user-centered design processes and close cross-functional collaboration with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality mobile product design work, including consumer apps, end-to-end user experiences, and polished interaction design.
  • Familiarity with Android platform conventions and Material Design principles is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to simplify complex financial workflows into intuitive mobile experiences.
  • Passion for building thoughtful, high-quality digital products with strong attention to craft, usability, and detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
