Brand & Marketing Designer

New York City — Onsite

About Monstro

Monstro is a governed AI platform for regulated financial institutions. We give banks and wealth managers a way to deliver trusted advice digitally — to every client, not just the top tier.

Institutions already have the relationships, data, and context to understand each client. Monstro turns that understanding into advice. It gives every client the experience of a personal advisor: bringing together their full financial picture, identifying what matters, and delivering personalized guidance across investments, tax, retirement, insurance, legal, and more.

For clients, that means clearer decisions, proactive support when life changes, and a better view of their financial lives. For institutions, it means deeper relationships, more clients served consistently, and more of each client's financial life managed in one place.

What makes this possible is how the system is built. Every recommendation reflects the institution's own views, policies, and permissions. Every output is auditable, traceable, and reversible, and client data stays under the institution's control. Generative AI shapes how advice is designed; at runtime, execution is deterministic — so every output can be explained and stood behind, not just trusted.

The work

We are building for a high-stakes industry where the work has real consequences. The challenge is to make advice more personal and more available without making it less trusted — to build AI that institutions can audit, explain, and reverse, in a domain where being wrong carries real cost. That is a hard problem, and it is the reason to be here.

You will work on technology that brings real financial advice to people who have rarely had access to it. You will be expected to think clearly, move with urgency, hold a high bar, and take responsibility for work that matters. We are an early team building something ambitious, and what you do here will shape both the product and the company.

About the Role

We're looking for a Brand & Marketing Designer to help shape and execute Monstro's visual presence as we bring our platform to market.

This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role at the intersection of brand, marketing, and go-to-market execution. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and company leadership to translate messaging, ideas, and commercial initiatives into compelling visual assets that support our growth.

Your work will span sales enablement, marketing campaigns, website updates, product launches, digital content, and events. One day you might be developing a customer-facing pitch deck, the next refreshing our website, designing assets for a new campaign, or creating materials for an upcoming industry conference.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, early-stage environment and loves building from the ground up. You’ll use AI to move fast, and your craft to make it exceptional: bringing the eye for detail, storytelling and human flair that turn AI output into work our people remember.

This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of Monstro's brand and marketing design, helping establish how a new category-defining AI company shows up in the market.

What You'll Own

Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and leadership to design high-impact materials supporting Monstro's go-to-market strategy and commercial growth.
  • Create compelling sales presentations, pitch decks, one-pagers, product overviews, and customer-facing collateral that communicate complex ideas with clarity.
  • Develop visual assets for product launches, customer engagements, partnerships, and strategic business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with GTM and content stakeholders to translate messaging, campaigns, and commercial priorities into polished, effective creative.
  • Build reusable templates and design assets that enable teams to move quickly while maintaining brand consistency.

Website & Digital Experiences

  • Own ongoing visual updates, enhancements, and improvements to Monstro's website and digital presence.
  • Design landing pages, campaign experiences, and other digital marketing assets that support customer engagement and growth.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure our digital experiences reflect evolving product capabilities, messaging, and business priorities.
  • Bring a strong understanding of digital design, usability, and visual storytelling to create clear, engaging experiences.

Brand Identity & Marketing Creative

  • Help evolve and scale Monstro's visual identity across marketing, sales, and external communications.
  • Design creative assets for digital campaigns, social media, email marketing, product announcements, and other brand initiatives.
  • Maintain and expand brand guidelines, visual systems, and templates to ensure a cohesive presence across channels.
  • Translate complex AI and financial technology concepts into accessible, engaging visual narratives.
  • Bring fresh creative thinking and a willingness to experiment with new formats, approaches, and ideas.

Events & Corporate Communications

  • Design materials for industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and other in-person brand experiences.
  • Create event signage, booth graphics, presentations, printed collateral, and branded merchandise.
  • Support executive and corporate communications with polished presentations and visual materials.
  • Ensure Monstro's brand is represented consistently and professionally across every external touchpoint.

AI-Powered & Human-Crafted

  • Use AI tools to move fast on visuals, video and narrative, then apply your own craft and eye for detail to turn that raw output into extraordinary, on-brand work that feels unmistakably human.
  • Shape every piece, from social posts to sales decks to explainer videos, into a clear and compelling story that draws our audience in and makes them want to know more.
  • Manage multiple design priorities in a fast-moving environment, balancing speed, quality, and business impact.
  • Build scalable design processes, templates, and creative systems that support a growing organization.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial concept through final execution, working independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Confident with AI design and video tools, but you see them as a starting point, not the finish line. What sets you apart is your eye for detail and the human flair you add to make AI-assisted work genuinely stand out.
  • A natural visual storyteller: your portfolio shows how you turn ideas into narratives that entice, engage and convert, not just look good.
  • Experience in brand, visual, graphic, or marketing design, ideally within a high-growth technology company, startup, or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own design projects from concept through execution, translating business needs and creative direction into polished deliverables.
  • Experience designing customer-facing marketing materials, sales collateral, presentations, campaigns, and digital assets.
  • Strong digital and web design capabilities, with experience creating or updating websites, landing pages, and other online experiences.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with an AI-forward mindset and enthusiasm for incorporating emerging tools into creative workflows.
  • Excellent visual storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them through clear, compelling design.
  • A builder mentality, with comfort operating in ambiguity, establishing new processes, and creating high-quality work without extensive structure or direction.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, Product, and senior leadership.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong creative judgment, and the ability to balance high-quality execution with the pace and priorities of an early-stage company.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, regulated industries, emerging technology categories, or 0-to-1 startup environments is a strong plus.

Why Monstro?

  • Impact: Build technology that helps millions of people make better financial decisions, through the institutions they already trust, and help define the category of Financial Intelligence.
  • Ownership: High trust, high ownership, high standards. You will own meaningful problems end to end from day one.
  • Experienced team: Work with leadership that has a track record of scaling companies from early stage to major exits.
  • Principles-driven culture: We move fast, because the opportunity is urgent. We communicate directly, because clarity saves time. We hold a high standard, because institutions and clients need to trust what we build.
  • In person, in New York: We are headquartered at The Spiral in Hudson Yards and work in the office four days a week, because our pace depends on fast collaboration.
  • Compensation and benefits: Competitive cash compensation and meaningful equity, plus 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability coverage, flexible PTO, paid parental leave, and catered meals.

Base Compensation Range (New York City): $150,000 - $185,000

Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal leveling, and market conditions, and will be offered within the stated range in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.

A Note on Interviewing: We sometimes use AI note-takers to help us transcribe interview notes, so we can be more present in your interview. If you’d like to opt out of us using automatic transcribers, please note this in the free text field in your application; otherwise we’ll take your application as confirmation that you’re happy for us to use note-takers (whether added to video calls or in the background).

Ready to Build With Us?

The standard is simple: do great work, own the outcome, communicate with purpose, move with urgency, raise the level. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
