Software Engineer, Data
About us: MONTICELLOAM, LLC and its affiliates (“Monticello”) is a real estate and asset-based investment firm providing asset management and comprehensive capital solutions for healthcare, multifamily, and commercial real estate assets throughout the US. MonticelloAM is seeking team players who can work in a collaborative environment and possess drive, integrity, creativity, compassion, and a strong work ethic.
About the role: We’re looking for a Software Engineer to support Trustwell Living, Monticello’s affiliated senior living management company, by consolidating data from across all our systems into a single source of truth and building the tools our teams rely on every day. Trustwell Living is one of the fastest-growing senior housing operators, currently managing 41 communities across the United States, and runs assisted living and memory care communities end to end, overseeing everything from clinical and resident care to staffing, budgets, and the operating systems that keep each community performing. You'll own the pipelines and warehouse that centralize their operational data, then build the reporting, dashboards, and internal applications that drive day-to-day operational decisions.
This role is fully in person. Candidates must be able to work onsite at our office location.

- Ramp for spend management and corporate cards
- AVID for accounts payable automation
- ECP for electronic care planning and eMAR

- UKG for HR, payroll, and workforce management
- Teambridge for workforce scheduling and communication
- Monday.com for project and work management
- Jobvite for recruiting and applicant tracking
About Your Team
You'll join an entrepreneurial, collaborative team that builds the data, reporting, and analytics systems powering Trustwell’s management operations and executive team. You'll work closely with the executive team, business stakeholders, and our offshore development teams to turn requirements into delivered solutions. Each team member owns their solutions, beyond just the technical implementation.
What you'll own:
- Serving as the primary engineering resource for Trustwell Living, taking projects end to end – from business problem to deployed, production solution
- Designing and building the data pipelines that bring data from all our systems into a single, reliable source of truth (Snowflake, Airflow, dbt)
- Building full-stack internal applications – React front ends on Python APIs, including CRUD tools – that put data directly in front of business users
- Developing the reporting and dashboards that support day-to-day operations and portfolio decisions
You'll also contribute to:
- Evolving our data models and warehouse architecture
- Data quality frameworks and automated QC processes
- Deployment, CI/CD, and monitoring that keep our systems running reliably
- Contributing to AI initiatives across processes and analytics, including helping shape new AI solutions
Qualifications
Core:
- Three to five years of work experience building and deploying software end to end – from concept through production
- Strong Python skills across data engineering, backend services, and APIs
- Hands-on experience building data pipelines and transformations (Airflow, dbt, or similar)
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred) and SQL
- Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders
Also valuable:
- DevOps experience – Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and AWS
- Front-end development with React
- Git and CI/CD practices
- Familiarity with HIPAA and safeguarding protected health information (PHI), given the resident data we handle
We welcome applicants from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds. If you've built and shipped software and are looking to own projects end to end, we'd like to hear from you – even if your experience doesn't match every bullet.
What We Value
- A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication – a good listener asks insight-generating questions
- Comfortable being uncomfortable – able to navigate ambiguity and rapid change
- An entrepreneurial mindset – be willing to take a risk on something new to improve the business, not just prescribed work
- Strong healthcare operations domain knowledge
