Position Overview:

The Capital City Go-Go are looking for a part-time Social Media Assistant to aid in our digital and social media initiatives throughout the season. This position will support social publishing, content creation, fan engagement, and game/event coverage on the team's social channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with posting content and writing captions across Capital City Go-Go social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and other platforms.
  • Capture photos and videos at games, practices, community events, and other team activities.
  • Help build short-form, mobile-friendly content.
  • Support fan engagement by monitoring comments, messages, and social conversations.
  • Assist with coordinating and distributing creative assets for social and digital platforms.
  • Help monitor social media performance and engagement metrics.
  • Ensure content is optimized for each platform's guidelines and audience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support weekly content plans.
  • Assist with game day and event coverage as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience managing social media accounts, crafting content, or completing relevant internships.
  • Proven understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) a plus, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop visually engaging content across digital graphics, photography, and video.
  • Knowledgeable about NBA G League players and teams; experience in professional sports is helpful.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 USD/hour
