QA Manager
Monument is the first property management software for the self-storage industry that’s purpose-built for enterprise. This is a rare opportunity to reinvent a $30 billion market from the ground up.
As our hands-on QA Manager, you will own the overall quality strategy at Monument. You’ll be responsible for holding teams to high quality standards, driving automation, ensuring test coverage, and reporting on quality to leadership. You’ll lead a team of QA Engineers with an emphasis on automation leveraging AI and shift-left testing while partnering closely with Product and Engineering to deliver high-quality, reliable releases.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality function end-to-end, owning quality strategy and aligning it with company and product goals.
- Set and report on quality metrics such as automation coverage, escaped defects, SLA performance, and initiative progress.
- Drive and contribute directly to automation by building and maintaining end-to-end, API, and data-driven tests.
- Guide strategic initiatives including automation maturity, test maintainability, environment stability, and AI adoption in QA.
- Own and evolve the Playwright automation framework, CI/CD pipelines, and test data seeding processes.
- Expand automation coverage by targeting the most impactful scenarios while ensuring tests remain stable and reliable.
- Define, maintain, and enforce QA standards, including test case quality, coverage, and definition of done.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define and document test cases that thoughtfully consider all scenarios and edge cases.
- Coach and mentor QA Engineers, while also contributing hands-on to automation and testing efforts.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer empathy across teams.
- Find ways to expand the use of AI across the team to improve quality and quantity of tests
Who You Are
- 5+ years of QA/Automation experience with web applications, including hands-on Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Strong technical ability to design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and pipelines.
- Know how to create fast, effective and reliable tests and do NOT tolerate flakey, slow or ineffective tests.
- Proficient in API testing and SQL, with the ability to quickly learn complex business domains (e.g., accounting, payments, or other enterprise workflows).
- Skilled at setting measurable quality goals (e.g., test coverage, escaped defects, SLA compliance) and driving accountability across teams.
- Able to balance tactical oversight with strategic priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- You thrive in a team setting and are excited to collaborate closely with Product, Design and Engineering.
