⭐ Our Security team

We are seeking a proactive, technically-minded, and organised Security Analyst to join Monzo's Security team. As a key member, you'll engage in infrastructure, application, and information security projects, collaborate with fellow analysts and engineers to provide insights and support, while also leading efforts to strengthen Monzo's security controls.

Your role will significantly influence how we protect our information, ensuring robust security measures are seamlessly integrated. At Monzo, we prioritise world-class security without compromising user experience. 🔑 You’ll play a key role by...

  • Delivering across a diverse set of projects in Security: contribute to various domains such as identity management and incident response
  • Engage in the full project lifecycle: from requirements gathering and design to implementation and rollout of security controls and processes
  • Tackle real-world security challenges: help us address security concerns like data protection, endpoint security, and emerging threats, contributing to practical solutions
  • Bring fresh perspectives: share your ideas and support the development of new and improved security products and processes
  • Collaborate with awesome teams: work closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to understand their needs and help integrate security best practices into their ways of working
  • Champion a security-conscious culture: advise and guide colleagues on security best practices
  • Manage key access controls: enforce the principle of least privilege across Monzo to maintain secure operations
  • Learn and grow continuously: contribute to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our security controls as Monzo scales, ensuring you're always learning and developing your skills

  • You're passionate about security: you're genuinely excited about the challenges and opportunities within cyber security at Monzo and eager to learn more
  • You have a technical curiosity: you have a knack for understanding how things work, are capable of lateral thinking and enjoy crafting solutions to complex problems
  • You understand security basics: you have a foundational understanding of security concepts and best practices and can confidently propose solutions to help Monzo progress in line with them
  • You are comfortable with varied work: You've managed multiple projects at once and are adept at 
  • You understand technical information: you're comfortable reading and interpreting technical documentation and procedures.
  • You're proactive and eager to learn: you take initiative, are proactive in seeking information, and are committed to continuous learning
  • You're a good communicator: you can clearly communicate your ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You're a team player: you enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to a positive team environment
  • Experience in a similar financial services role or a highly regulated environment, and security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cyber Security Analyst+, or CISM are a plus!

📍 This role can be based in our London office or fully remote within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London).
