You’ll play a key role in shaping how Monzo manages and uses risk and compliance data across all Monzo entities.

Reporting to the GRC Systems Senior Manager within Group Risk, your primary responsibility will be supporting the roll-out and administration of the risk management tool. This role involves designing and implementing clear and accessible risk management processes for the business, ultimately providing a service that enables effective risk execution across the company.

🔑 What you’ll be working on:

You will be responsible for supporting the implementation and ongoing operation of Monzo’s new GRC system. As the role matures, your responsibilities will continue to grow, but will include:

Project implementation & administration

  • Supporting delivery of the GRC tooling rollout, including managing the project plan, tracking actions, and coordinating project rhythms
  • Leading on training, communications, and change adoption to ensure a smooth launch across the Group
  • Designing training materials (user guides, videos, procedures) and running sessions where required
  • Supporting internal launch comms, including user support channels (Slack, FAQs) and feedback processes
  • Capturing and feeding back user insights to support iterative improvements to the platform

GRC platform ownership & ongoing management

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all things related to the GRC system across Monzo
  • Designing and operating processes for system access, configuration changes, data management, and ongoing governance
  • Developing and maintaining a clear responsibility matrix for the GRC tool across Group entities
  • Coordinating the relationship with the GRC vendor, including coordinating support tickets, product updates and improvements
  • Performing core platform admin activities such as user provisioning, workflow maintenance and configuration governance
  • Overseeing data quality and reporting within the tool, ensuring management information is accurate, consistent, and meaningful
  • Maintaining user-facing documentation, training materials, and process guidance

Post-go-live support & continuous improvement

  • Owning governance of configuration changes and assessing downstream impacts
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve system usability
  • Providing analysis and insight through system-generated reporting to support risk management across Group Risk and the wider business
  • Managing issue resolution, enhancement requests and vendor escalations
  • Ensuring the tool continues to evolve in line with Monzo’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and regulatory expectations

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if you…

  • If you're experienced in implementing and/or administering Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions and ready to apply best practices at Monzo.
  • Skilled in risk/control reporting and data management, with a strong ability to transform raw data into valuable, actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented and adept with G Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) to build simple, effective solutions.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator who can influence and manage stakeholders across all levels, collaborating effectively across the three lines of defence while maintaining Monzo's tone of voice.
  • A strategic thinker, capable of balancing immediate tactical requirements with long-term strategic objectives to effectively prioritise tasks.
  • Focused on designing elegant, scalable solutions with a flexible, commercial mindset
  • A consistent role model for Monzo’s core values and expected behaviours.

Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! Studies show that women and people of colour might hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement.
