Senior Product Marketing Manager

Cardiff, London or Remote (UK)

🚀 We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone.

We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.

After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us.

With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo ❤️

📍London or Remote (UK) | 💰£70,000 - £105,000 + Benefits |

We’re looking for several Senior Product Marketing Managers to own Product Marketing for some of Monzo's most important products across Core Banking, Borrowing and Wealth

At Monzo, Product Marketing is a global product-market fit discipline rather than a GTM discipline. We’re embedded in squads with PMs, Designers, and User Researchers, shaping products and propositions by acting as the voice of the market (UK, Ireland, Spain and future markets). We then partner closely with Integrated Marketing, who lead campaign & channel strategy, creative direction, and overall go-to-market approach to bring those propositions to customers. Together, we build the right products and drive their growth. If that’s your flavour of product marketing, Monzo is for you.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll own Product Marketing for a product end-to-end: understanding customers, shaping product strategy, defining positioning, and helping bring launches to market. There are two levels of seniority available — we will determine together what best fits you during the interview process.

Where you could join:

  • Core is the foundation of Monzo. It's where we build the products millions of people use every day: from Current Accounts and Joint Accounts to Pots, Subscriptions, Savings Challenge, and all the moments that make managing money feel effortless. This is a role for someone who believes the best product experiences come from getting the fundamentals right, and wants to shape products that become part of people's daily lives.
  • Borrowing is helping customers access credit simply, transparently, and responsibly. Today that includes growing products like Flex, Loans, Credit Insights, Mortgages, and Overdrafts in the UK, while also taking Monzo's Flex proposition to millions more customers across Europe. This is a role for someone excited by the challenge of growing an established proposition at home while shaping how it succeeds in new markets; understanding local customer needs, refining the proposition, and helping build the foundations for Monzo to win internationally.
  • Wealth is building the future of how people grow their money: helping millions of customers save, invest, and plan for retirement with the same simplicity and trust they expect from their current account. It spans Savings, Investments, Pensions, Insurance, and brand new wealth-building experiences. This is a role for someone who wants to challenge how traditional wealth products work and make growing money feel simpler, more accessible, and more rewarding for everyday customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Product Marketing for a Product. You'll define a 2–4 quarter Product Marketing strategy that connects customer needs, market opportunity, and product direction into a clear plan. You'll own Product Marketing across the full product lifecycle from early discovery through launches and iteration. You'll be the go-to person for understanding how your product succeeds in the market.
  • Become the expert on your market. You'll build a deep understanding of your customers, competitors, and category, using research, data, and experimentation to identify opportunities that influence product priorities. You'll bring the voice of the market into day-to-day product decisions and help your squad make better bets.
  • Define positioning customers understand. You'll create clear, differentiated positioning and messaging that helps customers understand why your product matters. You'll work closely with Product, Design, Writers, and Integrated Marketing to ensure that positioning is reflected consistently across the product experience and everything customers see.
  • Influence Product Strategy. You'll work alongside Product Managers, Designers, and Researchers to shape product strategy with customer and market insight. Product teams will seek your perspective before committing to product bets, and you'll help turn customer problems into products people genuinely love.
  • Shape successful launches. You'll design launch strategies that fit the customer problem, partner with Integrated Marketing on campaigns, and coordinate cross-functional launches across Product, Marketing, Operations, and Support. You'll measure what worked, learn quickly, and continuously improve how your product reaches customers.
  • Measure what matters. You'll use customer and commercial data to understand whether your work is making a difference. You'll build business cases for product decisions, measure launches against meaningful outcomes, and use what you learn to strengthen positioning, propositions, and future product decisions.

This is for you if:

  • You enjoy owning entire products. You're comfortable taking responsibility for Product Marketing across a full product experience, from customer insight through to positioning.
  • You solve ambiguous problems with evidence. You enjoy understanding customers, identifying market opportunities and turning insight into practical product and marketing recommendations.
  • You know what makes products win. You combine customer insight, market understanding and commercial thinking to build products and propositions people genuinely love.
  • You influence through collaboration. You enjoy working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, Researchers and Integrated Marketing, bringing people with you through evidence rather than authority.
  • You're always improving and helping others improve. You seek feedback, develop your craft and contribute to making the team stronger through sharing knowledge and helping others. Mentor more junior team members informally.
