⭐️ Our Costs Team 

We're looking for a Finance Analyst that supports our subsidiary entities accurately forecast, report and observe operating expenses controls, while supporting the financial management of strategic business projects. You'll become the subject matter expert for intercompany processes, helping ensure transactions between entities are accurate, well controlled and completed on time.

This role combines financial planning activities with project-based work, giving you exposure to forecasting, reporting, governance, process improvement and stakeholder management across Finance and the wider business.

You'll work closely with Finance Business Partners, Financial Control, Group FP&A and business stakeholders, helping provide high quality financial information that supports good decision making.

🔑 You’ll play a key role by…

  • Producing monthly forecasts, variance analysis and reporting for Monzo's subsidiary entities, ensuring forecasts remain accurate and well understood.
  • Owning the administration and coordination of the intercompany charging process, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, approved correctly and completed to timetable.
  • Preparing financial reporting for strategic projects, monitoring spend against approved budgets and highlighting financial risks, opportunities and delivery performance.
  • Supporting month end activities by preparing journals, reconciliations, accruals and reporting schedules in partnership with Financial Control.
  • Investigating financial variances and explaining the commercial drivers behind changes in spend, forecasting assumptions and project performance.
  • Working with stakeholders across Finance and the business to gather forecast inputs, resolve data issues and improve the quality of financial information.
  • Maintaining financial models, reporting templates and process documentation to improve consistency, governance and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting investment business cases by gathering financial information, validating assumptions and preparing analysis for decision making.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate manual activities and improve finance processes through better use of systems and data.
  • Helping deliver finance transformation initiatives by supporting testing, implementation and continuous improvement projects.

📍 This role is based in our London office, with a hybrid working environment with flexible working from home arrangements and some in-person attendance. We're open to distributed working within the UK (with the expectation of occasional work from our London office for key meetings).
