Healthcare Sales Specialist

About Mood Health

At Mood Health, we are working to make mental health care easier to access.

For many people, reaching out for help is one of the hardest steps they will take. Our mission is to make that first step feel simple, supportive, and welcoming.

Our clinicians provide therapy and psychiatric care through secure telehealth visits. Before a patient ever meets with a provider, they connect with one of our Patient Acquisition Specialists—the person who helps turn interest into action.

This role is more than customer service. It's consultative sales with purpose.

About the Role

We are looking for a Healthcare Sales Specialist to join our growing Sales team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in healthcare sales, insurance sales, inside sales, admissions, or other high-performing customer acquisition roles.

You'll work with patients who have already expressed interest in receiving care through one of our healthcare partners. Your job is to build trust, understand their needs, answer questions, overcome barriers, and confidently guide them toward scheduling their first appointment.

Success in this role requires someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, and is motivated by meeting and exceeding performance goals. While this is not cold calling, you should be comfortable managing a pipeline, following up consistently, and helping hesitant individuals move forward.

If you're competitive, goal-oriented, and passionate about helping people while building a career in healthcare sales, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Convert referrals into scheduled patients

Engage prospective patients who have been referred by our healthcare partners and guide them through the scheduling process from initial outreach to booked appointment.

Build relationships and earn trust

Use a consultative sales approach to understand each patient's needs, answer questions, and provide confidence as they begin their mental health journey.

Manage your sales pipeline

Own a high-volume referral pipeline by consistently following up through phone, text, email, and CRM tools to maximize conversion rates.

Overcome objections

Help prospective patients navigate concerns around insurance, scheduling, treatment options, or uncertainty about seeking care while providing an exceptional patient experience.

Achieve performance goals

Consistently meet or exceed booking, conversion, outreach, and response time goals while maintaining a high-quality patient experience.

Collaborate across teams

Partner with healthcare providers, referral partners, operations, and clinical teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Deliver an exceptional experience

Represent Mood Health professionally while creating positive first impressions that build long-term patient relationships.

  • Bilingual Spanish required

  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar
  • Familiarity with healthcare, insurance benefits, or behavioral health is a plus
  • HIPAA knowledge or experience working with confidential information preferred
  • Ability to work weekends as needed

What Makes Someone Successful

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy helping people make important decisions
  • Are energized by achieving goals and earning performance incentives
  • Take ownership of your pipeline and follow-up process
  • Can balance empathy with confidence
  • Love building relationships over the phone

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
