The Opportunity

As our first network engineer, you will have a greenfield opportunity to design, implement, and operate the physical and logical network fabric powering our AI platform. You’ll shape our backbone from day one, partnering closely with all stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-impact environments, embraces new technologies, and champions automation and observability.

Your Role:

You will play a critical role in architecting, deploying, and maintaining the network infrastructure that powers our AI platform. This includes designing high-performance, low-latency networking solutions for on-premises data centers, enabling seamless connectivity between AI workloads, storage, and users. You’ll collaborate with infrastructure engineers, data center operations, and AI platform developers to ensure a robust, scalable, and secure network foundation that supports enterprise AI workloads at scale.

Job Responsibilities

• Architect and operate high-performance data center fabrics (spine–leaf).
• Configure and manage multi-vendor devices (Arista, NVIDIA Cumulus, Juniper, SONiC).
• Implement modern protocols (BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, GENEVE).
• Drive automation, observability, and config-as-code practices (Ansible, Python, gNMI).
• Collaborate across teams to integrate networking with Kubernetes AI/HPC workloads and ensure scalability/security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of network engineering experience, ideally in data center or HPC environments.
• Expertise in spine–leaf architectures and modern L2/L3 protocols (BGP, VXLAN, EVPN).
• Hands-on experience with multi-vendor networking (Arista, NVIDIA Cumulus, Juniper, SONiC).
• Strong background in network automation, observability, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, AI/HPC workloads, and security best practices.

We offer a competitive total compensation package combining a competitive base salary, startup equity, and industry-leading benefits. The total compensation range for this role is $130,000-$160,000, which includes both base salary and equity. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and market alignment.
