💻 Power BI / Data Integration Developer – Advanced

About Your Role

As a Power BI / Data Integration Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade business intelligence and data integration solutions. You will be responsible for building scalable Power BI reports and semantic models, developing ETL pipelines across Snowflake, SQL Server, DBT, Rivery, and Oracle, and ensuring compliance with best practices and governance standards. This role requires a balance of technical execution, business analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.

What We Are Looking For

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, BI Engineer, or Data Integration Developer.

• Advanced skills in Power BI (semantic modeling, DAX, paginated reporting with SSRS).

• Strong SQL development skills across Snowflake, SQL Server (T-SQL), and Oracle (PL/SQL a plus).

• Hands-on expertise with ETL pipeline development (SSIS required; DBT and Rivery a plus).

• Experience designing and maintaining data warehouses (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension modeling).

• Ability to optimize queries, indexing, and execution plans.

• Understanding of data architecture best practices and compliance frameworks.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with healthcare or insurance datasets (eligibility, claims, providers).

• Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, SOC2 compliance requirements.

• Experience with DevOps, version control, and CI/CD pipelines for BI solutions.

• Exposure to cloud-native integration platforms (Snowflake, DBT, Rivery).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Power BI Development: Design and maintain dashboards, paginated reports, and semantic models. Build complex DAX measures and optimize for scalability and usability.

• Data Integration & ETL: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines (SSIS, DBT, Rivery, Snowflake). Automate data extractions and ensure refresh accuracy.

• Database & Warehouse: Contribute to schema design, performance tuning, and optimization.

• Collaboration: Work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions. Provide documentation, training, and support.

• Compliance: Partner with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure governance and regulatory reporting where required.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with BI best practices, tools, and performance monitoring.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.
