Summary
The Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in shaping effective and engaging learning experiences by designing and developing high-quality instructional materials. The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts, eLearning developers, and other team members to create learner-centric content that aligns with educational goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop instructional materials, including course content, assessments, and learning activities, that promote active learning and align with instructional design principles.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and synthesize information, transforming complex concepts into clear and engaging learning content suitable for a variety of delivery methods.
- Apply diverse instructional strategies, adult learning principles to create effective and learner-focused learning experiences.
- Create detailed storyboards that outline the structure, interactions, and multimedia elements of eLearning courses, ensuring alignment with learning objectives.
- Develop formative and summative assessments that measure learner progress and provide valuable feedback to enhance the learning journey.
- Utilize instructional technology tools and platforms to design engaging and interactive learning solutions, while staying informed about emerging trends in educational technology.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, eLearning developers, and project managers, to ensure the successful development and implementation of learning initiatives.
- Conduct thorough reviews and testing of instructional materials to ensure accuracy, alignment with learning objectives, and overall effectiveness.
- Stay current with educational research, instructional design trends, and best practices to enhance the quality and innovation of instructional materials.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in instructional design or learning and development.
- Proven experience designing eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), and blended learning programs.
- Knowledge of instructional design models.
- Proficiency with eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline).
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong skills in curriculum development, storyboarding, and assessment creation.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Graphic design or video editing skills (Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
