
Seeking Medical Malpractice Claims Representative

Summary
We are seeking a Case Manager to join our team. As a Case Manager you will own the progression of potential medical malpractice cases through its initial investigation, from intake through NOI. You will be responsible for building out case files, gathering and organizing medical records, auditing files for completeness, and conducting a preliminary assessment of the merit of each claim.
The ideal candidate has prior experience as a claims representative or adjuster within a medical malpractice insurance company. The candidate must be enterprising, highly organized, and able to work on a varied caseload.
This person will sit in our Winter Park office location 1560 N Orange Ave Suite 300, Winter Park, FL, 32789
Responsibilities
- Manage client interactions and case work up from intake to NOI, accountable for the expeditious and robust investigation of a client’s claim
- Request, track, and obtain all relevant medical records and related documents needed to assess a potential malpractice claim
- Audit case files to ensure all critical documentation is present and organized for attorney and expert review.
- Present leadership with a viability assessment of each case, including key facts such as medical chronology, liability / causation analysis, and damages estimate.
- Work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 3+ experience as a Claims Representative or Adjuster evaluating medical malpractice claims.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Comfort working with case management software and cloud-based tools.
- Ability to be a team player and follow procedures.
- Proactive interaction with clients, insurance companies and medical providers.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
