We are seeking a skilled and personable Golf Instructor to lead private lessons, small-group clinics, and game improvement sessions for members of all skill levels. This independent contractor role is ideal for professionals who want to build a strong roster of clients within a premium club environment, delivering both technical skill development and an exceptional member experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Deliver high-quality, personalized golf instruction using simulator technology and swing analysis tools.
- Lead 1-on-1 private lessons, group clinics, and corporate or social golf events.
- Assess each player’s skill level, creating tailored lesson plans for improvement.
- Provide feedback on swing mechanics, course management, and short game strategy.
- Maintain equipment, simulator settings, and teaching areas in excellent condition.
- Foster a welcoming and motivating environment for golfers of all abilities.
- Collaborate with Bedrock and Events teams to develop unique programming.
- Represent the Moss and Bedrock brands with professionalism, expertise, and hospitality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5 years of professional golf instruction experience.
- PGA or LPGA Class A Membership (or equivalent professional certification) strongly preferred; TPI Certification a plus.
- Experience teaching across a range of skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
- Strong knowledge of swing mechanics, rules of golf, and on-course strategy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience using launch monitor and simulator technology (TrackMan, Foresight, or similar).
- Familiarity with strength training, mobility, conditioning, and/or recovery techniques in relation to golf.
- Ability to inspire confidence and enjoyment in the learning process.
- CPR/AED certification preferred.
COMPENSATION:
This role is commission-based, offering 50% split off of the menu price for services performed. With our current menu pricing for Golf Swing lessons, this is estimated to be $90/Hour, subject to change based on business needs.
CLASSIFICATION:
This role is classified as an independent contractor. As a contractor, you acknowledge and agree that you are engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee, agent, partner, or joint venture of Moss New York or it's affiliates. As an independent contractor, the contractor shall be solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, including income tax, self-employment tax, and any other taxes, fees, or assessments arising from the compensation received under this agreement. The company will not withhold or remit any taxes on the contractor’s behalf. The Contractor understands to comply with all applicable tax filing and payment obligations.
Independent contractors will be compensated on a Net 15 basis upon submission of an invoice to the business, along with a valid Form W-9 (including either a Social Security Number or Business EIN).
All independent contractors are required to maintain appropriate insurance coverage. A current Certificate of Insurance must be provided and approved prior to performing services or being granted access to club facilities.
