We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Dual-Licensed Massage Therapist & Esthetician to join the Bedrock Spa team. This leadership role is ideal for a practitioner passionate about both bodywork and skincare, who can also mentor colleagues, support spa operations, and help shape a holistic wellness experience for our members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Deliver advanced, customized facial, skincare, and massage treatments tailored to member needs and goals.
- Lead by example in providing luxury-level service, setting the standard for guest experience.
- Mentor, train, and support massage therapists and estheticians in service excellence and protocol adherence.
- Collaborate with spa leadership to refine treatment protocols, wellness programming, and training initiatives.
- Conduct pre-session consultations to assess client needs, preferences, and contraindications.
- Educate members on the benefits of esthetic and massage treatments, home care regimens, and recommended follow-ups.
- Ensure treatment areas are pristine, well-stocked, and aligned with Moss and Bedrock aesthetic standards.
- Maintain compliance with NYS licensing regulations, spa safety standards, and sanitation protocols.
- Participate in management meetings and represent the spa team in cross-department collaboration.
- Support scheduling, inventory, and operational needs as directed by the Spa/Wellness Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current New York State Massage Therapy License and Esthetics License required.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a luxury spa, wellness, or hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior practitioner role.
- Expertise in advanced skincare, facial protocols, and multiple massage modalities.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and guide team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, service quality, and guest care.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- CPR/AED certification preferred.
CLASSIFICATION & COMPENSATION:
The hourly wage for this position is $22.00 per hour, with the eligibility for commission of 30% on all all treatment sessions conducted.
This is a non-exempt, hourly position. In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), you are eligible for overtime pay at one and a half times your regular rate for all hours worked over 40 in a single workweek.
