AV Testing Supervisor - PM Shift
Mission Summary:
The AV Testing Supervisor assists Engineering leadership in creating best practices and protocols for Testing Specialists (TS) to abide by. They are the first point of contact for Testing Specialists (TS) when issues arise and help resolve them strategically and efficiently. After coordinating with multiple departments, such as Engineering, L&D, Safety, and Operations, Supervisors determine what resources are necessary to conduct daily operations efficiently and effectively.
The AV Testing Supervisor is also expected to manage and approve time-off requests for team members while ensuring there is little to no impact on testing operations, ensuring test scheduling is followed correctly and efficiently, and supervising the daily performance of Testing Specialists.
Additionally, they are expected to address deficiencies through coaching, addressing attendance issues, and providing effective and constructive feedback to ensure alignment with company policies, standards and departmental expectations where applicable. They will conduct bi-weekly 15Five reviews with Testing Specialists and bi-annual and annual performance reviews to ensure that effective coaching is in place for growth and development.
What you'll be doing:
- Scheduling and vehicle assigning in coordination with Operations Supervisors and Fleet Coordinators
- Coordinate with Operations the conducting and completion of daily/weekly testing
- Provide Test Specialists (TS) with updated and accurate information regarding vehicle allocation and software bundle requirements
- Review Dev Tickets (DTs) for discrepancies and/or safety concerns prior to scheduling
- Review DriveLogs where applicable, in coordination with Triage Team
- Gather, track and review pertinent information necessary for daily vehicle testing
- Lead special group projects including coordinating high level internal and external vehicle demos
- Basic IT Troubleshooting
- Basic AV system troubleshooting
- Attend daily briefs via Zoom or in-person
- Review weekly 15Five feedback forms
- Provide job coaching for Testing Specialists
- Conduct Performance Reviews
- Address TS performance issues
- Interview new TS candidates
- Approve and manage time-off requests
- Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What we're looking for:
- Adequate understanding of the daily/weekly testing process
- Prior experience in a supervisory/leadership role
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Ability to delegate tasks to others
- Ability to work from home and office when required
- Strong understanding of Jira and Confluence applications
- Ability to provide critical feedback of a variety of test types
- Adequate understanding of the various tests conducted on test vehicles (DTs, VVR, VBS, etc.)
- Ability to directly lead a team of Test Specialists to ensure efficient daily testing of scheduled vehicles
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office/G-Suite Applications
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience in the automotive industry or a fleet
- Basic understanding of Linux and scripting languages
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet quick deadlines
- Must have shift flexibility and work longer hours during heavy testing times
- Valid driver's license required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Bonus points (not required):
- Associate or BS in Engineering/Physics/Science or relevant field preferred
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience with working knowledge in a Linux environment
- Data Analysis experience

Salary Range
$75,000 - $98,213 USD
