Senior Engineer - Radar Components
Mission Summary:
Our Component Hardware Engineering Team in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced Radar Component Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge Radar technology. The Radar Component Engineer will own requirements creation, lead technical collaboration with component suppliers, drive testing and issue resolution, and support sourcing, system integration, and production release activities.
What you'll be doing:
- Compiling and creating a complete set of requirements for Radar Components
- Managing our technical suppliers and coordinating technical activities and project milestones across internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Perception, Systems, Mechanical, Vehicle, Manufacturing, Quality, SW, Cybersecurity, Diagnostic, Reliability)
- Develop and lead radar acceptance, performance, and characterization testing
- Ensure and support vehicle integration efforts
- Lead root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Lead continuous improvement projects for components
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in automotive, OEM, or a similar industry
- Experience with radar system design, with a deep understanding of automotive radar hardware design/architecture, radar DSP, and radar testing/performance
- Basic knowledge of common vehicle electrical and networking systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of automotive diagnostics interfaces and protocols (UDS, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively within rigid design, integration, and time constraints
- Ability to interface globally with people at all levels and abilities, including both internal and external teams, to achieve project success
- Self-motivated, organized, flexible, and able to balance and prioritize multiple diverse projects
- Ability to quickly and creatively solve problems, independently and in teams, while maintaining quality work
- Experience with hands-on vehicle integration, including wiring harnesses and packaging, is preferred
- Bachelor's degree within Engineering (STEM) or a related field of study

Salary Range
$134,000 - $174,500 USD
