Senior Operations Specialist

Senior Operations Specialists support the business to ensure the fleet is ready to be deployed and safe to operate on the roads. Operating a vehicle/conducting field operations is crucial in the role. Communicating between teams and helping to improve utilization of resources. This role will also identify gaps and assist in/ creating processes that improve operations around the globe. While efficiency is crucial, nothing comes before safety and the Senior Operations Specialist is a key team member to uphold this responsibility.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct test case reviews for R&D
  • Drive the Autonomous Vehicles for road operations such as manual data collections
  • Safely operate the Autonomous Vehicle in autonomous mode, to disengage if necessary
  • Asset tracking of drives and ingesting data
  • Utilize fleet management tools to support fleet operations
  • Be fluent in software applications such as Jira & GSuite
  • Utilize command center and support tele-operations
  • Conduct field operations to support validation
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for reporting of results
  • Perform sensor calibration, systems diagnostics and software deployment. 
  • Test, and validate Autonomous Vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment using debugging tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, Vector CAN analysis software and tools, and PC-based diagnostic software.
  • Inspect and maintain autonomous vehicles periodically 
  • Triage and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/self-driving system issues and document for issue resolution.
  • Work closely with R&D teams to understand new procedures and requirements and provide useful feedback.
  • Ability to create and follow SOPs, checklists, and internal service bulletins
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for the AV industry as well as safety/mobility is preferred
  • Experience in the automotive industry or a fleet preferred
  • Automotive mechanical certifications (e.g. high voltage)
  • Hands-on experience with Automotive diagnostics (UDS) systems, OBD tools and automotive networks (CAN, Ethernet).
  • Experienced with automotive sensors and networks - such as lidars, radars, cameras, GPS, IMUs, CAN bus, and data networks
  • Exemplary organizational and time management skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft/G-Suite applications including PowerPoint/Slides, Excel/Sheets, Word/Doc
  • Valid Singapore driver's license required
  • Zero (0) demerit points on licence (DIPS)
  • Minimum of at least 3 years of driving experience

Bonus points:

  • Experience with an issue-tracking and task management software platform such as JIRA, Polarion and Confluence

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand and at times for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
