Position Description:

The Content Marketing Manager is a strategic, creative, and highly collaborative member of the Content & Communications team. In this role, you will lead our content strategy and own the planning, creation, and optimization of content that fuels growth, demand generation, and brand storytelling.

Your work will span blog posts, ebooks, whitepapers, case studies, data sheets, and other high-value content that engages our target audiences across key verticals and market segments.

You bring a strong command of content frameworks, vertical- and persona-specific messaging, and are proficient in both SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)—optimizing content for traditional search engines as well as AI-powered discovery platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.

This is a dual-focus role: leading overall content strategy while remaining hands-on in content creation. You will write and edit content directly, while also leveraging AI tools to scale production efficiently and responsibly. You have deep expertise in repurposing and scaling existing content assets to maximize reach and impact across channels and stages of the funnel.

This position is highly cross-functional, collaborating closely with demand generation, product marketing, design, sales, and subject-matter experts across the organization.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, distributed environment and is energized by disrupting the status quo and innovating in real time. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who takes ownership, collaborates effectively, and is passionate about creating relevant, high-impact content that supports integrated, end-to-end marketing programs.

Position Duties:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that supports brand awareness, demand generation, product marketing, and overall business growth.
  • Write, edit, and refine high-quality long- and short-form content, including blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, case studies, data sheets, presentations, and web copy.
  • Build and manage a content calendar aligned with campaign priorities, product launches, and broader marketing initiatives.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities across the funnel and recommend new topics, formats, and distribution approaches.
  • Partner closely with demand generation, product marketing, design, sales, and subject-matter experts to deliver content that supports integrated, end-to-end marketing programs.
  • Stay current on trends and news in our space, proactively identifying opportunities for Motus to newsjack, contribute thought leadership, or join timely conversations.
  • Optimize content for discovery using traditional SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices, including entity optimization, semantic relevance, and AI answer engine visibility.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on content performance metrics, using insights to continuously iterate and improve.
  • Manage the content creation process end to end—from brief development through review, feedback, approvals, and publication.
  • Train, manage, and leverage AI content platforms (e.g., Jasper, ChatGPT) to scale content production efficiently while maintaining quality, accuracy, and brand standards.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 6-8 years of marketing experience in enterprise software or SaaS
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned to brand, demand generation, and business goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: the ability to speak knowledgeably, clearly, and persuasively to a diverse range of audiences
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel content and how assets support awareness, consideration, and conversion
  • Strong partnership skills with demand generation, product marketing, design, sales, and subject-matter experts
  • Proven experience learning about new, technical topics and producing quality content in a fast-paced environment
  • Great teammate with a positive demeanor; self-motivated and collaborative
  • Deep knowledge of traditional SEO best practices

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
