Paid Media Manager (Contract)

Remote

Paid Media Manager

Position: Contractor (mid-May to the end of Oct), 40hrs/wk

Location: Remote, MT or PT based

About the Role

We’re looking for a Paid Social Media Manager with deep expertise in TikTok and Meta to join Movement Strategy.

This role sits at the intersection of paid media and creator marketing — ideal for someone who is equally comfortable owning campaigns end-to-end in Ads Manager as they are collaborating with influencer teams to bring creator-led campaigns to life.

You will lead creator-led paid social campaign execution that is at the center of a brand campaign launch for a new non-profit organization, with a strong focus on TikTok-first strategies, including Branded Mission campaigns, Spark Ads, and creator amplification.

This is a Manager-level role, meaning you will operate with a high degree of ownership, make independent decisions within strategy, and serve as a key partner across teams.

A BIT ABOUT US

Movement Strategy creates content and campaigns for the world’s most exciting brands. We win awards, make headlines, shatter engagement numbers and celebrate the journey along the way. It’s why companies like Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, and Intuit come to us again and again.

We’re fully remote with hubs in New York, Denver, and LA, and a presence all across the US. We believe collaboration is what takes our work from good to great, and at times, even to legendary status. We champion diverse opinions and creativity in every department, and provide professional development and learning opportunities with the goal of helping you discover your best work today, and learn how to make it even better in the future.

KEY FOCUS AREAS

Campaign Ownership & Execution

  • Own end-to-end execution of paid social campaigns across TikTok and Meta
  • Support senior manager and associate director of paid media to manage reserved media buys across TikTok, Meta, Google (YouTube) and programmatic partners.
  • Manage full campaign lifecycle: setup, QA, trafficking, pacing, optimization, and reporting
  • Ensure campaigns are executed accurately, on time, and within scope — with strong attention to detail
  • Make independent optimization decisions within agreed strategy, including:
    • Audience adjustments
    • Budget shifts
    • Creative rotation and testing

Creator + Paid Integration (Core to Role)

  • This is a hybrid role that manages TikTok creator content briefing and content development, with a dotted line reporting into Group Director of Influencer Marketing.
  • Partner with the Group Director of influencer teams to:
    • Develop creator briefs aligned to paid objectives
    • Review and select creator content for organic publishing (via creator’s own handle) and paid amplification (boosting)
  • Manage creator workflows from:
    • Briefing → feedback → approvals → whitelisting/Spark Ads → go-live
  • Execute campaigns via:
    • TikTok Ads Manager
    • TikTok One (Creator Marketplace)
  • Ensure creator content is optimized for performance, not just delivery

TikTok Specialty

  • Own and execute TikTok Branded Mission campaigns end-to-end
  • Brief, identify, source, and activate creators within TikTok ecosystem
  • Apply deep understanding of TikTok formats, trends, and performance signals
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, beta features, and emerging opportunities

Measurement, Reporting & Insights

  • Analyze paid media performance data in partnership with the Senior Manager and Associate Director of Paid Media team, Strategy and Analytics team, connecting insights to recommendations and business implications.
  • Own insights and commentary of reporting deliverables that go beyond metrics—telling a clear story about what happened and why, and how to move forward.
  • Use platform tools, client provided and measurement partners data to triangulate insights.
  • Collaborate with Data & Insights to validate findings, build benchmarks, and improve predictive modeling.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Proactively partner with peers across:
    • Strategy
    • Creative
    • Influencer
    • Client Engagement (C&E)
  • Coordinate timelines, inputs, and deliverables across teams
  • Flag cross-functional dependencies, risks, and trade-offs early
  • Adjust paid execution based on upstream and downstream constraints

Innovation, Testing & Trend Intelligence

  • Stay deeply informed on platform trends, new ad formats, AI advancements, creative best practices, and measurement evolution.
  • Bring forward opportunities that leverage new channels, targeting tactics, and creative experimentation.
  • Help push clients toward data-supported innovation and performance improvement.

Movement Strategy is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they check every single box. Movement Strategy is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and strongly encourages those from historically and systemically marginalized communities to apply.

We believe that what we put out into the world matters. And since we were founded on the principles of paving our own path, we take bold steps toward what we believe is the right direction. This means addressing the big stuff: the systems of inequality that impact some of us far more than others. As culture creators, we firmly believe we have a responsibility to our colleagues, clients, communities, and the industry to live up to the Movement’s name. We confront inequities head-on as they come, knowing that this work is never done and that we must keep the momentum.

Form CC-305

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
