The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and business-savvy Senior Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be a key partner to our product, engineering, operations and business teams, delivering actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. As Senior Data Analyst, you will report directly to the Chief Product Officer and co-founder, with a direct line into engineering. You will be responsible for diving deep into our vast array of data to understand user behavior and marketplace dynamics. In addition, you will build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards, influence strategy on how data models can drive value in the product, and more. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable with the entire data lifecycle, from extraction and transformation to analysis, presentation and modeling.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders across the company to understand their business needs and translate them into data-driven questions and analyses.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support our analytics needs.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast key metrics and predict user or partner behavior and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide visibility into business performance.
  • Partner with product and business teams to drive consensus on definitions and standardization of metrics.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to apply statistical and machine learning concepts to solve business problems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our data and analytics tools, and champion a data-driven culture across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence analyst, data scientist, or similar role.
  • Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Familiarity with data science concepts and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • A proactive and curious mindset, with a passion for learning and a drive to solve complex problems.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000
