About this team and role:

Firefox is used by hundreds of millions worldwide. As the Sr. Staff Product Manager for Search Experiences, you will be responsible for integrating intelligent search experiences into the browser to enable users to find what they are looking for. This role involves leading the product strategy and execution for these user problems, aiming to create a smarter, more efficient discovery experience. You’ll combine product excellence with strong technical skills to drive this innovation.

What you'll do:
  • Product Vision & Strategy: Lead the vision and strategy for enhancing search and discovery within Firefox across desktop and mobile, ensuring users can effortlessly find relevant content and information across the web and within the browser itself.
  • Innovative Solutions: Apply new technologies like AI and machine learning to improve search functionality and content discovery. Act swiftly to test hypotheses and iterate on solutions that enhance the user experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work together with teams from design, engineering, and data science to determine search product requirements, prioritize features, and provide seamless experiences that meet user needs and align with business goals.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with business development and partnership teams to integrate new discovery tools, form strategic partnerships, and explore new opportunities that drive adoption and revenue growth.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze important data points regarding search and discovery, using insights to guide decisions, improve features, and champion ongoing improvement.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly communicate product roadmaps, feature benefits, and performance outcomes to collaborators, leaders, and external partners.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay on top of the latest trends in search technologies, content discovery, and AI to ensure Firefox delivers innovative, user-centric search experiences.
  • Thought Leadership: Champion the role of search and discovery in redefining user engagement and productivity, positioning Firefox as a leader in this space.
What you'll bring:
  • Extensive Product Management Experience: 7+ years of product management experience, with a consistent track record of success.
  • Consumer Product Expertise: 5+ years of experience in shipping consumer products and/or features, demonstrating a deep understanding of user needs.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including experience interacting with senior executives.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Proficiency in building hypotheses, building tests, and developing success metrics to inform product decisions.
  • Strategic Drive: Ability to work independently at high velocity while aligning with the overall strategy.
  • Partner Engagement: Skilled in driving external partner engagements and discussions, fostering productive teamwork.
