This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys both hands-on accounting and building structure. You’ll work closely with our Finance & Accounting Specialist and report to the Managing Director, Operations, playing a key part in shaping the future of our finance function as we grow.

- Monitor and support compliance with global indirect tax obligations (e.g. U.S. sales tax, VAT, GST).
- Coordinate tax registration, filing, and remittance activities across jurisdictions, working with external advisors and compliance tools.
- Stay current on tax and financial regulations relevant to digital services and international operations.
Process Improvement & Scaling
- Strengthen and document internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Support ongoing financial system improvements and integrations.
- Collaborate with the Finance & Accounting Specialist to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Assist in audit readiness, tax filings, and other compliance and reporting initiatives as the organization grows.
What you’ll bring:
- 8+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a consumer-facing, international for-profit company (e.g., SaaS, mobile apps, or digital platforms) with exposure to global revenue and subscription models.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP rules and compliance requirements, with hands-on experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Familiarity with revenue accounting and indirect tax requirements for digital services (e.g., VAT, U.S. sales tax)
- Experience managing relationships with external accountants, tax advisors, or compliance partners.
- Proficient in cloud-based accounting software (preferably Sage Intacct) and reporting tools.
- Comfortable working in a remote-first, globally distributed environment and collaborating across multiple teams and time zones.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across functions.
- A self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
- Open-minded and adaptable, with a “make it work” mindset and a focus on iterating systems and continuously improving processes.
