
Onboarding Project Manager, BIN Installations (Contract)
As a Contract Onboarding Project Manager (technical onboarding and ongoing technical relationship management) you will report to the Director of Customer Onboarding. This visible position will require the successful candidate to roll up their sleeves and help expand and build our customers on the Marqeta platform. You’ll be expected to partner with cross-functional teams outside of our immediate organization in delivering solutions for our customers. This candidate should be able to see around corners, drive stakeholders with milestones, and communicate clearly across the business. This role has a large variety of types of solutions they are responsible for, each with potential customizations. As a critical piece of Marqeta’s and the customer’s success, this role should be laser-focused on delivering the statement of work for the customer while protecting both the customer and the business. This candidate needs to be able to balance communication channels with all levels of both Marqeta and our customer’s business.

The Impact You'll Have
- Act as the primary internal stakeholder for a key Marqeta reseller partner, primarily as the point of contact for day-to-day technical operations and as the SME for onboarding/implementation projects.
- Master Marqeta internal tools, systems, and processes and use proven project management tools and methodologies to ensure our partners’ projects are delivered on time and to an exceptional standard.
- Work with our partner, payment networks, banks, vendors, and multiple cross-functional teams to ensure our partners’ programs are delivered with accuracy and quality in-tact.
- Develop deep relationships within Marqeta and advocate on behalf of the partner to ensure we’re doing all we can to find answers and solutions quickly, predictably, and reliably.
- Communicate often and openly. You’ll not only be comfortable in a regulated and technical environment, but also comfortable with cross-functional work and partner management.
Who You Are
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding and background in payments, banking, or financial services
- Specific payments knowledge in card issuing, BIN installations
- Flexibility with schedule given working for a US company based in California (though will work to respect time zones. Preference for CST.
- Significant track-record in partner/customer-facing project delivery/management roles.
- Great organizational skills. Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple, complex projects on time.
- Highly self-motivated and feels at home working aggressive schedules.
- Able to build strong working relationships across multiple teams.
- At home and at ease with technology, product, legal, B2B technology applications and how technology platforms serve customer businesses.
- Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation written, email).
- Positive attitude, work ethic and high integrity, a team player, who is adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to work independently.
- Highly organized and self-motivated to create and execute Project deliverables.
- Comfort in the ambiguity of changing priorities and flexibility to new ideas within a fast-paced environment.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems.
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Nice-To-Haves
- Experience with implementation projects for mid-market and enterprise clients
- Familiarity with Smartsheets, Jira, Salesforce, and other collaboration tools
- Experience supporting Revenue-facing teams in a POD sales structure

Compensation
