Anti-Financial Crimes Fraud Senior Analyst

As Marqeta’s  Anti-Financial Crimes Fraud Senior Analyst, you will be working on fraud prevention initiatives to minimize the risk of financial losses and reduce fraud risk. You will work with some of the world’s most innovative companies, as they partner with Marqeta to bring their payments business ideas to life.

The Impact You’ll Have

  • Work in cross-functional initiatives to drive initiatives which support anti-fraud initiatives from multiple levels from product inception to customer experience
  • Analyze transactional data derived during discovery to identify suspicious transactions, accounts, entities, and other indicators of abuse vectors
  • Support programs and partners by investigating fraud incidents and propose anti-fraud measures in addition to working with internal stakeholders to identify and measure the impact of new products and features 
  • Monitor rule performance and perform analysis to refine rules for programs while balancing a good customer experience and risk reduction 
  • Support the implementation of new risk policies through process creation, documentation and training

Who You Are

  • 4+ years related industry experience employing data analysis using Structured Query Language (SQL), object-oriented programming (e.g. Java) or Python (or R), and Tableau (or Looker) to identify fraud
  • Experience working in a fast-pace environment with a data-driven approach to problem solving 
  • Proficiency developing and maintaining procedural documents 
  • Proficient in communicating with a diverse audience range using data 
  • Experience working with payment fraud from a program or issuer level

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. 

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position, reflected in CAD,  is: 90,400 - 113,000.
