UDAAP Senior Analyst

Remote, USA

Reporting to and supporting the Compliance Manager, the UDAAP Senior Analyst will assist with Marqeta’s UDAP/UDAAP compliance program, with particular emphasis on supporting Marqeta’s marketing review process.

The Impact You’ll Have

  • Collaborate on and assist with driving improvements to marketing compliance and UDAP/UDAAP related policies and procedures
  • Assist with formal review process for external customer marketing content and campaigns
  • Review marketing materials, including advertisements, promotional content, digital media, social media and product information, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including UDAP/UDAAP, and FTC advertising rules
  • Coordinate with Legal, Marketing, and other departments to obtain necessary approvals and feedback
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies affecting marketing activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance reviews, including documentation and reporting
  • Develop and update marketing compliance policies and procedures in response to changes in regulations and business needs
  • Provide training and guidance to marketing teams on compliance requirements, best practices, and internal processes
  • Work closely with Marketing, Legal, Sales, and other departments to ensure cohesive and compliant marketing strategies
  • Assist with other compliance advisory duties, as needed. 

Who You Are

  • 2-3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance in banking, financial services, or fintech
  • Proven experience in marketing compliance or a related role, in a regulated industry
  • Proven experience with Banking as a Service either for/with a regulated bank or Program Manager or similar
  • Strong knowledge of marketing/consumer protection regulations (such as UDAP and UDAAP), advertising standards, and industry best practices
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities
  • A hands-on approach, concise and straightforward style
  • A love for collaboration, teamwork, and delivering excellence
  • An eye for detail

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience supporting bank partnerships, audits and examinations 
  • Experience with collateral review systems/tools (ex: Red Oak, Performline Marketing, etc.)
  • CRCM designation or similar compliance designation

Compensation and Benefits

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:

  • National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
  • Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
  • Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:

  • National: $94,800 - $118,500 
  • Premium: $102,600 - $128,200
  • Premium Plus: $111,500 - $139,400
