Nightshift Forklift Supervisor / Orchardist (50 / 50)

Are you an experienced forklift driver with a knack for leadership?

Look no further! At Mr Apple, we’re seeking a skilled professional to join our team for the remainder of this season and beyond. Working in a 50 / 50 role you will be working as the Forklift Supervisor within night shift hours during our peak season and transition to day shift as an Orchardist in our off season.

Outside of our peak season you will get the opportunity to train and grow as an Orchardist, learning all areas of the Orchard including Irrigation, Spraying and Tractor Driving. Enjoy working outside in the fresh air for half of the year before relocating back to our Nightshift Forklift Supervisor in the peak season.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Forklift Supervisor with Mr Apple, you will Work in conjunction with the Operations Team Leader to optimise the use of resources to manage fruit flows, treatments and storage of apples, dispatching fruit in a timely and organised fashion to end user sites, allowing just-in-time inventory management.

What you’ll bring: 

• Experience operating Forklifts – ideally in a supervisory role
• Good health and safety awareness
• You are a people person – you communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people 
• Able to work night shift in our peak season and transition to day work in our off season
• Have the right to work in New Zealand and can pass pre-employment checks
