What you’ll be doing:
As an Orchardist, you will be immersed in all aspects of orchard management, ensuring our apples are at their best when harvested. This hands-on role evolves with the seasons, bringing fresh challenges and learning opportunities.
Your tasks will include:
- Tree management – pruning, training, and direct tree care
- General orchard operations – quality control, irrigation, spraying, and tractor driving
- Orchard redevelopment – improving and developing existing orchard blocks
- Technology-driven decision-making – working with innovative systems
- Team leadership – supervision opportunities once experience is gained
Who you are:
- Orchard experience is an advantage, but transferable experience and a willingness to learn are equally valuable
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and proactive
- Enjoys hands-on work and the outdoors
- Holds a minimum Restricted license and has reliable transport
- Has the right to work in New Zealand and can pass pre-employment checks
