As the organisation’s technical authority on apple growing, this role sets and embeds best practice across all sites, ensuring premium fruit quality aligned to market requirements while balancing productivity, sustainability, and safety. Leading and developing Orchard Managers, the Head of Orchards builds capability, succession, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This role also champions safe, well-run orchards where both people and fruit thrive, while bringing practical, data-driven insight to executive decision-making to ensure orchard realities are reflected in company strategy.
