Greenville or Raleigh, NC (with expectation of some Greenville office time if based in Raleigh)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager/Lead to oversee our AP operations processing approximately 100 invoices daily. This role will manage a small team of 1-2 staff members while ensuring accurate, timely processing of a high volume of invoices ranging from hundreds to thousands monthly. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, prior AP management experience, and technological proficiency to maintain efficient workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily accounts payable operations and workflow
• Supervise, train, and develop a team of 1-2 AP specialists
• Process and verify high volume of invoices daily with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment inquiries
• Implement and optimize AP processes and controls
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare and review AP reports for accuracy
• Collaborate with other finance team members and departments
• Drive continuous improvement in AP processes and systems

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role
• Proficiency with AP platforms (Bill.com or similar systems)
• Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage high-volume workloads
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Team leadership experience with ability to train and develop staff
• Tech-savvy with aptitude for learning and optimizing AP systems
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
