Play a pivotal role building and leading the revenue accounting function for Beast Industries; owning GAAP-compliant revenue recognition (ASC 606), revenue operations, and scalable financial frameworks for new product lines.

The Role

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager - Revenue will own the end-to-end revenue lifecycle for the organization. As Beast Industries scales its brand partnerships and launches new initiatives, this individual will move the revenue function from a manual process to a robust, automated, and scalable framework. This role is a unique hybrid of technical accounting and revenue operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator with a strong technical foundation and a builder mentality who can identify and mitigate material financial risks.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Revenue Operations: Manage the end-to-end billing and collections process, implementing a rigorous mechanism to track performance obligations and deliverables to ensure timely invoicing and prevent revenue leakage.
  • Lead Technical Accounting (ASC 606): Serve as the subject matter expert for revenue recognition; analyze and document the accounting treatment for complex, multi-element contracts.
  • Support New Product Growth: Establish the technical accounting and operational frameworks for new revenue streams.
  • Drive Process Automation: Lead the transition from manual revenue tracking to an automated environment, including revenue recognition, leveraging AI.
  • Strategic Business Partnership: Partner with Sales and Legal during the contract negotiation phase to address issues before contracts are executed.
  • Audit & Compliance: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors regarding all revenue-related inquiries; design and maintain robust internal controls and revenue accounting policies.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a clear track record in revenue accounting and operations.
  • CPA required.
  • Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP, with experience documenting complex, multi-element revenue transactions.
  • Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Media, Technology, or Advertising industries; familiarity with influencer marketing or digital media revenue streams is a significant plus.
  • A Builder Mentality: Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a focus on scaling manual processes into automated systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail (crucial for managing high-materiality, low-volume contracts).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical accounting concepts for non-finance business partners.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
