Build and scale identity systems while serving as the technology backbone for Feastables.

Role Overview

The Beast Industries IT team supports a fast-moving business environment where technology is expected to be reliable, secure, and scalable. This role combines identity and access management ownership, IT project execution, on-site support, and executive-facing technology partnership for the Feastables organization.

Most of your time will focus on identity and access management initiatives across the company, with Okta serving as the primary area of ownership. You will also support the Chicago office, partner with the broader IT organization on infrastructure and security initiatives, and provide high-touch support for Feastables leadership when needed.

The Role

As Senior IT Support Engineer, you will own identity and access management operations and projects across the organization while serving as the primary IT presence for the Feastables Chicago office. The position is accountable for Okta administration, access lifecycle management, application onboarding, and identity-related security initiatives.

In addition to IAM ownership, this role serves as the local technology lead for Feastables, ensuring reliable office operations, responsive user support, and trusted executive technology support. Success requires strong technical execution, operational discipline, and the ability to move between strategic project work and real-time support needs.

What You'll Do

  • Own Okta administration, including SSO configuration, SCIM provisioning, MFA policies, lifecycle management, group design, role management, and authentication troubleshooting.
  • Drive joiner, mover, and leaver workflows, including process design, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead application onboarding efforts, including SSO and SCIM integrations, vendor coordination, testing, documentation, and deployment.
  • Conduct access reviews and identify stale accounts, excessive permissions, and orphaned entitlements.
  • Manage group and entitlement structures across Okta, Google Workspace, and connected applications.
  • Partner with Security on identity-related initiatives including conditional access, device trust, MFA enforcement, and privileged access controls.
  • Execute IT projects including endpoint rollouts, security tooling deployments, network changes, and hardware refreshes.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and technology partners to support project execution and operational needs.
  • Build and maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and audit-ready records.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, troubleshooting, scripting, access analysis, and workflow automation.
  • Build small internal tools and automations when they improve efficiency or reduce manual work.
  • Support the Chicago office by maintaining conference room technology, Wi-Fi reliability, badge systems, printers, guest networking, and workplace technology infrastructure.
  • Manage the local support queue and resolve endpoint, identity, collaboration, and productivity issues across Mac and Windows environments.
  • Provision, deploy, recover, and manage hardware throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Respond to meeting room, AV, and collaboration issues in real time.
  • Provide white-glove technical support for Feastables leadership and visiting Beast Industries executives.
  • Support executive meetings, presentations, travel readiness, device setup, mobile configuration, and related technology needs.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality standards.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience focused on identity and access management.
  • Experience administering Okta in production, including SSO, SCIM, MFA, lifecycle management, group design, role management, and authentication troubleshooting.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace, including account lifecycle management, organizational structures, groups, sharing controls, and security settings.
  • Experience onboarding SaaS applications and implementing SSO and SCIM integrations.
  • Experience administering Slack, including user provisioning, SSO integration, workspace settings, and application management.
  • Experience managing Mac environments using FleetDM and Munki.
  • Experience deploying and supporting Zoom Rooms and Logitech Rally Bar conference room systems.
  • Daily proficiency using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or comparable platforms as part of technical workflows.
  • Strong Windows endpoint support experience, including deployment, identity integration, and user support.
  • Hands-on networking experience with Wi-Fi, switches, access points, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-week technical projects from planning through implementation and handoff.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear operational documentation and runbooks.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively under pressure.

Preferred Experience

  • Okta Workflows automation experience.
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Google Apps Script.
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot to build internal utilities.
  • Familiarity with Notion, SentinelOne, Oomnitza, Microsoft Entra ID, and Intune.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID in hybrid identity environments.
  • Experience with identity governance and administration (IGA) platforms.
  • Experience supporting production, creative, or studio environments.
  • Experience with physical security and access control systems including Openpath, KISI, or Brivo.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
