The Opportunity

We're doing an AI-first engineering rebuild for a company that already has an audience of 100M+ people. This is a zero-to-one build with no legacy constraints, so you get to design systems from scratch. You'll build the software, services, and privacy-safe data infrastructure that power products and AI across the MrBeast ecosystem.

The Product

You'll design, build, and run the systems that help us understand our audience and power great experiences, directly and with partners. That means:

  • Build scalable services, APIs, and batch and real-time pipelines that power analytics, reporting, ML, and operational decisions.
  • Hit 99.9%+ pipeline availability and cut data delivery latency on critical datasets.
  • Build privacy and security into how we collect, store, access, and use data.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement backend services, APIs, and distributed systems for ingesting, processing, and serving data.
  • Build batch and streaming workflows that support product features, analytics, and AI applications.
  • Design data models, schemas, storage systems, and interfaces that evolve with the business.
  • Optimize systems for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost.
  • Build automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and alerting to ship safely and operate confidently.
  • Partner with product, AI, and business teams to turn requirements into software and own delivery from design through production.
  • Establish engineering standards for code quality, system design, data quality, privacy, and security.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and address root causes.

Who You Are

  • AI-Native: You're already using AI in your workflow, and you understand how well-designed software and data systems enable AI and ML applications.
  • Platform Builder: Typically 8+ years designing and operating production software, with strong backend engineering, distributed systems, and data fundamentals. You're comfortable working across services, APIs, and data processing systems.
  • Reliability + Quality Focused: You build maintainable, well-tested software and have measurably improved system reliability, performance, and data quality.
  • Independent Leader: You lead complex technical initiatives on your own and take ownership from design through operational support.

Experience building cloud-based software and data-intensive applications is essential. Bonus points for supporting ML and AI infrastructure, streaming and event-driven architectures, private-aware system design, and metadata management, and leading technical communities of practice.

Compensation $178,000 –$223,000 base + equity + benefits
