Role Overview

The Creative Director is a creative leader within Viral Marketing, responsible for turning business objectives into ideas that earn attention and drive measurable action.

Working closely with Production, Growth/Analytics, Partnerships, Product, Brand, and creators, you will develop creative ideas that can travel across the MrBeast ecosystem while supporting clear business outcomes.

The work can take many forms, including content, creator collaborations, stunts, challenges, experiences, launches, partnerships, social formats, and new concepts that do not fit neatly into an existing channel.

The Role

You will help lead creative development for Viral Marketing initiatives from the initial brief and business objective through approved concept and execution. You will own the creative quality of assigned initiatives, including concepts, scripts, treatments, and creative direction. You will help determine which ideas are strong enough to advance and influence creator selection, formats, platforms, and execution in partnership with functional owners.

Success means creating work that earns organic attention, generates audience participation, and connects that attention to measurable business results.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead creative development for Viral Marketing initiatives from brief and business objective through approved concept and execution.
  • Translate business goals, product benefits, audience insights, and partnership opportunities into clear, compelling creative ideas.
  • Develop concepts across social content, creator collaborations, launches, stunts, challenges, experiential activations, partnerships, and emerging formats.
  • Write and oversee scripts, treatments, concepts, and creative presentations that communicate ideas clearly.
  • Lead brainstorms and creative working sessions that generate a high volume of strong, executable ideas.
  • Direct and mentor writers, art directors, designers, freelancers, agencies, and other creative contributors.
  • Partner with Production to make ambitious ideas executable while protecting the core creative proposition.
  • Collaborate with Growth/Analytics to understand audience behavior and performance, then apply those learnings to future creative development.
  • Work with Partnerships to identify brands, platforms, creators, and partners that can amplify or expand an idea.
  • Develop ideas for YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms based on how audiences behave on each platform.
  • Evaluate concepts quickly, determining which ideas should advance, evolve, or stop.
  • Present creative work to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders with clear rationale and recommendations.
  • Review performance after launch to understand why creative succeeded or failed and apply those learnings to future work.
  • Identify emerging creators, formats, behaviors, technologies, and entertainment mechanics that can create new opportunities for Viral Marketing.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in creative leadership, advertising, entertainment, digital media, social, creator-led businesses, or similarly high-velocity creative environments.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional conceptual thinking and work that generated meaningful audience attention or participation.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into simple, powerful creative ideas.
  • Strong understanding of internet-native entertainment, social platforms, creators, and audience behavior.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, presentation, and creative-direction skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams and external creative partners.
  • Ability to develop ideas quickly while maintaining a high creative standard.
  • Strong creative judgment and the ability to distinguish personal preference from what will work for the audience and business objective.
  • Experience presenting and defending creative work with senior executives and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives with changing priorities and aggressive timelines.
  • Experience creating work for YouTube or other creator-led platforms.
  • Experience with creator partnerships, social-first entertainment, branded entertainment, or original content formats.
  • Experience working across both brand and entertainment objectives.
  • Understanding of how performance data can inform creative development.
  • Experience developing work that generated earned media, organic sharing, or audience participation.
  • Experience creating formats or creative platforms that can extend beyond a single campaign.
  • A network of writers, directors, designers, creators, production partners, or other creative talent.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
