About the Role

The PMO Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning, project reporting, and governance activities across technology and business initiatives within RBC. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills who can collaborate effectively with both technology and finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management Tool Admin: make sure all questions of PV are addressed, update & reconcile information between source data and Planview, monitor the changes in Planview

     

  • Project Governance: Help implement and maintain PMO governance standards, monitor compliance, and manage risk and issue registers.

     

  • Project Risk Management: Navigate the enterprise approval process for change initiative risk assessments and provide guidance to project practitioners

     

  • Project Support: Assist with project planning, budget tracking, resource allocation, and documentation to ensure projects stay on track and within scope.

     

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on project data, including progress, risks, and budgets, to provide insights and support decision-making for project managers and senior leaders

     

  • Process Improvement: Identify lessons learned and areas for improvement within project execution and PMO processes to enhance efficiency.

     

  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, ensuring alignment and a shared understanding of project goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira/Confluence, or Asana
  • Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence/reporting tools
  • Strong financial reporting and analysis experience; accounting background preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, PMP, or a Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Prior experience in a PMO or project finance role within a large enterprise or financial institution
