Excavator and Skid-Steer Operator

Responsibilities:
- Potentially supervise and run a small crew – depending on experience
- Excavate for and build bioretention facilities, rain gardens, ponds, sediment basins, and other storm-water management facilities/BMPs
- Muck out and re-grade ponds
- Shoot grades for stakeout and read/interpret cut sheets
- Operate skid steers, mini excavators, and/or heavy equipment to trench, grade, and excavate
- Run underdrain or E&S crew when not running larger equipment by running mini excavators and managing 2-3 man crew
- Complete other grading and excavation needs per the requests of our clients
Physical Requirements:
- Employee must be physically fit to perform duties of the job in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 50 lbs.).
- Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
- Other physical requirements include walking, climbing, balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or crawling.
- Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- 1-5 years of experience with bobcats, skid-steers, compact track loaders, mini excavators or larger equipment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation
Compensation:
- Up to $30/hr depending on experience
