Senior Program Manger
We are searching for a Sr. Program Manager to join the Muon Space team. You will be responsible for enabling customer success and growth. The Program Manager reports to the Director of Programs and collaborates with Muon Space’s Engineering, Technology, regulatory, legal and finance departments. You will be responsible for leading a program team to develop and carry out an execution plan that meets program objectives.
About this Role:
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, launch, and operations. The primary objective is to deliver all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and building a customer relationship to support future programs and company growth. The individual will lead a cross-functional team aligned to common program performance goals.
Location: This position can be located in Mountain View, CA or Remote
Key Responsibilities:
● Leading cross-functional teams to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives
● Measuring and reporting program performance
● Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, andmanages change through control board activities
● Delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
● Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
● Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
● Cultivating customer relationships and success to enable further opportunities within the customer community
Basic Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of professional experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management over complex systems in other industries
● Experience planning and executing complex programs with elements of hardware, software, and systems engineering development.
● Ability to understand and communicate with senior management regarding program performance status (cost/schedule/resources/risk)
● Experience creating and giving presentations and addressing complex matter / solutions with senior leaders
● Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment.
● Able to travel up to 25% of time.
Desired Qualifications:
● Experience with satellite development and/or mission operations.
● Experience working with a diverse set of U.S. Government DoD, IC and Civil customers.
● Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment
● Experience managing and growing teams
Salary:
The salary range for this role is $95k - 195K and will depend on a candidate's skills, qualifications and experience as defined during the interview process.
