Senior Contracts Manager/Counsel
About the role
Muon seeks a Senior Contracts Manager/Counsel to join our team! In this role, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of commercial and government contracts, while serving as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners. You’ll help ensure compliance, mitigate risk, support procurement activities, and drive process improvements. The role will report to the Chief Legal Officer.
Responsibilities
- Manage, draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and government contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, customer agreements, and purchase order terms & conditions.
- Support government procurement activities, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and flow-down requirements.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure alignment on contractual terms and risk mitigation.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from initial request through execution and renewal, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
- Maintain organized records of agreements and provide strategic guidance on contract terms and risk exposure.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on complex or high-risk agreements as needed.
- Lead or assist in the evaluation, selection, and potential implementation of a contract lifecycle management (CLM) tool to streamline contract processes and improve visibility.
- Develop and refine templates and playbooks to support scalable and efficient contracting practices.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- 4+ years of experience in contracts management.
- Experience in a law firm and/or established government contractor setting.
- Direct experience with the government defense or intelligence community within the past two years.
- Experience working with contract lifecycle management tools.

Salary
The salary range for this role is $175k-$230k and will depend on a candidate's skills, geographic location, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process.
