In this ever-evolving position, you’ll help support Global Consumer Engagement initiatives, focusing on social content creation and brand storytelling. In addition to being passionate about skincare/beauty, you are committed to expanding Murad’s reach and taking the brand to the next level on social.

You will support the planning and development of social content, with a focus on TikTok and Instagram. With a critical eye, clean aesthetic and understanding of the social tone of voice, you will assist the Associate Manager, Digital & Social with planning and creating social content that is aligned with brand guidelines.

You are agile, flexible and analytical with the goal to elevate brand equity, engage consumers and support business objectives. You have the drive to own and execute projects on time and with excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination and production of social content (TikTok, IG Stories, IG Reels), maintaining elevated look/feel and voice of the brand across platforms. You will be expected to create 3-5 TikToks/IG Reels and 3-4 IG Stories a week, leveraging “brand appropriate (non-corporate) voice” in social media to build authentic, relevant, interactive consumer relationships.
  • Assist Associate Manager, Digital & Social in managing the content calendar, ensuring we execute against it. Assist with developing social content creation and strategy, with a focus on telling Murad’s brand story through compelling creative and messaging across TikTok and Instagram.
  • Voraciously consume digital/social content to help the brand stay ahead of competition. Stay up-to-date on new social platforms and tools; monitor competitors and other social media leaders for learnings, insights and best practices to remain a leader in skincare.
  • Oversee community engagement including responding to DM’s, comments, and tagged photos on all social platforms.
  • Assist Associate Manager, Digital & Social with Ad-Hoc requests.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in our El Segundo office twice a week.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media content creation, primarily TikTok and Instagram.
  • Strong eye for design, or demonstrated capabilities in Adobe Creative Suite, photography and graphic design.
  • Excellent judgment to drive optimal brand engagement in online beauty/brand communities.
  • Equally left- and right-brained with analytical skills to evaluate content effectiveness, and strong creative judgment to recognize what’s on-trend/on-brand.
  • Strong ability to interpret and translate global brand strategies and equity into voice/programs appropriate for social media.
  • Strong planning, project execution, and analytical competencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for both PC and Mac.
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills, and an ability to write in a voice that is social-friendly and platform-specific.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic, solution-oriented team player with strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of and passion for digital/social media and trends within beauty and lifestyle industry.

This position is based in our El Segundo, CA headquarters, which is currently 40% hybrid onsite/remote work.

The expected base salary for this position is $18.00-$20.00 per hour. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
