Manager - National Accounts

Murad is looking for a Manager, National Accounts to support our growth strategies. This growth will come through strategic retail partnerships and distribution opportunities that complement Murad’s brand positioning and strategy to build brand awareness and consumer demand.

The role is responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts, supporting account-level strategy, forecasting, and revenue performance in partnership with Sales leadership. It partners directly with national retail accounts to support relationship management and drive business growth.

The ideal candidate must have experience in retail beauty account management and working cross-functionally to ensure the delivery of business plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development of account-specific business plans in partnership with Sales leadership
  • Support the execution of the full account lifecycle, including strategy, forecasting, and performance tracking against revenue targets
  • Own sales process end to end, including timeline, sales targets/forecasts, deliverables, and communication for assigned National retail business partners, focusing on, but not limited to, Acquisition and Liquidation categories
  • Evaluate opportunities & recommend proposals that align with our marketing calendar + brand strategy and secure placements with business partners
  • Support commercial negotiations and retailer partnership strategy, including pricing and promotional planning
  • Build margin models that support overall margin guidelines and targets
  • Coordinate planning + execution by collaborating with supply chain, marketing, and finance as appropriate
  • Proactively adapt plans when needed and identify and recommend suitable alternate options
  • Own channel activation calendar for current and future opportunities
  • Serve as a key point of contact for assigned national retail partners, supporting external communications, meetings, and relationship management
  • Build and maintain relationships with retail buyers and key stakeholders
  • Internal communications for planning and post activity/result recaps and business reviews
  • Ensure accurate management of account documentation and reporting to support business performance and decision-making
  • Maintain all associated administrative documents and processes as needed
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate all comp and gratis requests and associated communications

EXPERIENCE + SKILLS

  • Minimum 5-8 years in headquarters, selling/retailer account management
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and influence across cross-functional teams and external business partners
  • Detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong business acumen & business writing skills, ability to manage, analyze, and communicate data
  • Effective time and project management skills, effectively manages multiple projects and priorities, navigating ambiguity
  • Anticipates when pivots are needed and proactively seeks relevant options
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to effectively leverage additional systems, programs, and apps as needed

The expected base salary for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors, including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
