THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Manager, National Accounts to join our National Sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Operations, this role will own our acquisition and liquidation channels end to end — secondary-market retailers (TJ Maxx, Ross) and subscription boxes (Ipsy, FabFitFun, Allure), where the bulk of this business sits, plus high-visibility placements like Good Morning America steals and deals — driving profitable growth that aligns with Murad's brand strategy and marketing calendar.

The ideal candidate will bring 4–6 years of headquarter selling or retailer account management with direct experience at these specific customers, advanced Excel and analytical skills, and the agency to navigate ambiguity and build processes in a small, fast-moving team — and will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the acquisition and liquidation channels end to end — sales process, timelines, forecasts, deliverables, internal approvals, cross-functional follow-up, and communication — for assigned National retail partners, including TJ Maxx, Ross, subscription boxes (Ipsy, FabFitFun, Allure), and broadcast retail placements.
  • Think forward, not transactional: define the role each customer plays in the business, identify growth opportunities per partner, and secure placements that maximize brand relevance, consumer reach, and margins.
  • Deliver SKU-level, bottoms-up sales forecasting and demand planning; partner with supply chain and operations on units, pricing, and inventory to hit sales targets and maintain target margins.
  • Build and protect margins — develop margin models and deal parameters (lowest acceptable to highest offer), ensure every deal lands at margins finance will approve, and route discontinued or excess product to the right channels rather than high-visibility placements.
  • Own the channel activation calendar and lead business reviews and post-program recaps that surface performance trends, key learnings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
  • Navigate ambiguity and build the playbook — proactively hunt down answers across teams, codify learnings into SOPs and standardized processes, and help the team operate more nimbly.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Minimum 4–6 years in headquarter selling / retailer account management, with direct experience at TJ Maxx, Ross, or subscription-box programs (Ipsy, FabFitFun, Allure) — required.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (non-negotiable) with strong analytical skills — able to manage, analyze, and communicate data: forecasts, pricing, COGS, and margin analyses.
  • True ownership and accountability — owns the business end to end, from deal negotiation through execution and recaps.
  • Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and business writing skills; able to communicate, collaborate, and influence across cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity — in a small but mighty team, proactively seeks out answers and builds SOPs and processes rather than waiting for direction.
  • Clear, precise communication — independently develops clear, accurate, audience-appropriate materials and presentations for internal leadership and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with precise execution — validates forecasts, pricing, COGS, SKU, and inventory data against source documents; manages multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Beauty or skincare category experience — the ability to speak the language of beauty retail: category margins, product lifecycles, and how to pitch newness and core assortment while routing various products to the right channels, tying assortment decisions to brand strategy and the marketing calendar.
  • Operations or supply chain experience —cross-functional flow between sales, supply chain, and finance (quantities, routings, inventory, demand planning). The ability to understand the ops side to anticipate constraints, keep deals, and manage a deal from start to finish.
  • Oracle experience — the ability to pull and analyze data across SKU-level sales, forecasts, margin analyses to find opportunities
  • Experience with logistics software or shipping platforms — attention to detail on numbers, margins, and routings is crucial in this channel, and a great candidate is comfortable in the logistics detail and the operational follow-through.
