Business Development Manager

Company Overview

Most marketing teams can’t play a meaningful role in breaking through to target accounts because the 1:1 marketing strategies that work don’t scale, and what scales doesn’t work.

Mutiny helps B2B companies generate pipeline and revenue from their target accounts through AI-powered personalized experiences, 1:1 microsites, and account intelligence.

Our customers are some of the fastest growing companies in the B2B space including Snowflake, 6sense, Writer, Segment, and Qualtrics. We are backed by Sequoia Capital, Tiger Global, Insight Partners, and Y Combinator.

About the role:

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll own Mutiny’s outbound program and be responsible for driving outbound sourced pipeline. Initially, you’ll start as an individual contributor with a focus on revamping Mutiny’s outbound program using AI and other innovative outbound tactics. Once you’ve built repeatable playbooks that need more firepower to scale, you’ll get the chance to hire, train and manage a team of Business Development Representatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Leverage tools like Unify, Clay, Salesloft, ZoomInfo and 6sense to rebuild Mutiny’s outbound program from the ground up
  • Experiment and iterate on different ways we can automate our outbound program while giving prospects a 1:1 feel
  • Work alongside our Head of Revenue Marketing to co-own pipeline creation
  • Once it’s time to scale, you’ll have the chance to hire, onboard and train new BDRs
  • When you’re managing a team, you’ll help with territory planning, account segmentation and shape how BDRs work with AEs

What you bring:

  • A proven track record of exceeding outbound pipeline generation targets at a startup
  • Interest in B2B marketing, marketing automation and using AI to scale personalization
  • Experience working cross-functionally with both sales and marketing leaders to hit revenue goals
  • Excellent time management skills that can be shared and spread throughout the team
  • An exceptionally high performance bar for oneself and everyone on the team. Unafraid to communicate what’s working and what needs to change when things aren’t working.
  • Someone who is energized by ambiguity and can create structure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you’ll get out of it:

  • You will create a name for yourself by getting to work with and support some of the fastest-growing companies in B2B SaaS.
  • You will get exposure to real business problems every company faces (growth) that you can take with you to start your own company (or to help scale another).
  • You will have fun, plain and simple. There is a reason our first company value is that work should feel like play.
  • You will experience a new way of working. Our team is fully distributed across North America and the EU. But we come together as a company for quarterly offsites (most recently in fun cities like Denver, Miami, and Santa Monica). This combination of experience-based work is a competitive advantage we continue to invest in.

Hiring process for this role:

The hiring process for this role looks like this:

  • Phone Screen (30 minutes): You’ll meet with our Head of Sales to discuss your success in your previous business development or outbound focused roles and how this role aligns with your career goals
  • Hiring Manager Call (45 minutes): You’ll meet with our Head of Revenue Marketing to dive deeper into your experience and discuss your experience or potential as a manager
  • Virtual Onsite (90 minutes across 2 meetings): You’ll first meet with our Head of Business Development to learn about Mutiny’s existing outbound program and tools to get a sense of the work that needs to be done. After, you’ll meet with some of our AEs and ABM lead to meet more of the team you’d be working with and explore how you’d work together.
  • Final Interview (60 minutes): After meeting the team, you’ll present a short and long term plan for Mutiny’s outbound program to our Heads of Sales, Business Development and Revenue Marketing

These values define how we approach our work every single day:

Form CC-305

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
