Business Development Lead

Remote - US/Canada Only

Company Overview

Most marketing teams can’t play a meaningful role in breaking through to target accounts because the 1:1 marketing strategies that work don’t scale, and what scales doesn’t work.

Mutiny helps B2B companies generate pipeline and revenue from their target accounts through AI-powered personalized experiences, 1:1 microsites, and account intelligence.

Our customers are some of the fastest growing companies in the B2B space including Snowflake, 6sense, Writer, Segment, and Qualtrics. We are backed by Sequoia Capital, Tiger Global, Insight Partners, and Y Combinator.

About the role:

As the Business Development Lead, you'll be responsible for building and optimizing Mutiny's outbound program infrastructure, with an emphasis on operational excellence and scalable processes. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on BDR execution, with a clear path to building and leading a team.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement operational systems and processes to optimize our outbound program efficiency
  • Create and maintain scalable workflows across our tech stack (Unify, Clay, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, 6sense)
  • Be quota carrying; co-own pipeline creation with the Head of Revenue Marketing
  • Upon success of the above, build and manage a team of BDRs as pipeline goals increase

What you bring:

  • Strong operational mindset with demonstrated ability to build and optimize tools and processes
  • 2+ years of BDR/SDR experience, preferably in B2B SaaS
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding outbound pipeline targets
  • Experience with modern sales tech stack and automation tools
  • Previous experience mentoring junior team members is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Data-driven decision making approach
  • Self guided and thrive in ambiguity

What you’ll get out of it:

  • You will create a name for yourself by getting to work with and support some of the fastest-growing companies in B2B SaaS.
  • You will get exposure to real business problems every company faces (growth) that you can take with you to start your own company (or to help scale another).
  • You will have fun, plain and simple. There is a reason our first company value is that work should feel like play.
  • You will experience a new way of working. Our team is fully distributed across North America and the EU. But we come together as a company for quarterly offsites (most recently in fun cities like Denver, Miami, and Santa Monica). This combination of experience-based work is a competitive advantage we continue to invest in.

Hiring process for this role:

The hiring process for this role looks like this:

  • Round 1 (45 minutes): You’ll meet with our Head of Revenue Marketing to discuss your success in your previous business development or outbound focused roles and how this role aligns with your career goals
  • Round 2 (90 minutes across 2 meetings): You’ll first meet with our Head of Business Development to learn about Mutiny’s existing outbound program and tools to get a sense of the work that needs to be done. After, you’ll meet with some of our AEs and ABM lead to meet more of the team you’d be working with and explore how you’d work together.
  • Round 3 (60 minutes): After meeting the team, you’ll present a short and long term plan for Mutiny’s outbound program to our Heads of Sales, Business Development and Revenue Marketing

Our values:

These values define how we approach our work every single day:

😜 Work should feel like play 🏃 Faster always wins 🍯 Stir the pot, regularly 👀 Do the right thing when no one’s watching 🛥️ All hands on deck 🌎 Live in the world you want to change

At Mutiny, we are committed to empowering individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities to reach their potential. We believe in balanced teams, which is why we have maintained a 50% male-to-female ratio in our investors and are committed to maintaining diversity of gender, lifestyle, ethnicity, and thinking in our team as we scale.

Compensation:

Mutiny is proud to offer a competitive compensation package to all full-time employees, including base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated total salary range for this role for US-based employees is $100,000-$140,000 and will be made up of a base salary + commission.

These ranges may be modified in the future.

Additional benefits:

  • Live and work from anywhere
  • Quarterly offsites in fun cities like Brooklyn, Seattle and Miami
  • Flexible paid time off and generous parental leave
  • 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • $1,500 WFH stipend

We are fully remote.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
