Front-End Engineer

mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers. We are building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app and online, whilst consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.

As a Front-End Engineer, you will contribute to developing our frontend applications used by major financial institutions in Australia. As part of the mx51 Engineering team, you'll play a key role in delivering projects and collaborating within the Front-End Engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Design, develop, test, document and maintain our front end products used by merchants across Australia.
• Deliver features and fix bugs across a variety of modern front end frameworks and technologies including React, Angular and Next.js.
• Develop and maintain Node RESTful APIs in our Electron app.
• Drive continuous improvement in code quality through code reviews, testing, and refactoring.
• Implement responsive performance UIs and help shape the best UX for our users.
• Improve and maintain our component library using Tailwind and Storybook.
• Help refine requirements, break down tasks, plan and estimate upcoming projects.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to our tech stack.
