Location: Remote (preference for candidates based in the Chicagoland area)

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Engagement Structure: Project-based, scoped per role/requisition

Estimated Duration: Through the end of the year, with potential for extension based on business needs

Availability: Expected to maintain reasonable availability during core collaboration hours of 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience (anticipated range: $50–$65/hour)

Overview
MxD is seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support full-cycle talent acquisition across multiple roles. This individual will partner closely with the People & Culture (P&C) team at MxD and hiring managers to drive efficient, high-quality hiring processes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Intake & Hiring Strategy
- Partner with P&C and hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and interview processes
- Lead or support intake calls and document hiring criteria, timelines, and expectations
- Ensure alignment on interview structure and candidate evaluation approach

2. Candidate Review & Screening
- Review incoming applications against job qualifications
- Conduct initial resume screenings and identify qualified candidates
- Maintain clear documentation for candidate progression or disposition decisions

3. Candidate Outreach & Engagement
- Conduct outreach via ATS (Greenhouse), LinkedIn, email, or phone
- Manage candidate communication throughout early stages
- Ensure timely, professional follow-up

4. Phone Screens / Initial Interviews
- Conduct structured phone screens (up to 45 minutes)
- Assess compensation expectations, qualifications, work authorization, and availability
- Document interview notes and recommendations

5. Interview Coordination
- Schedule interviews and coordinate calendars
- Ensure a seamless interview experience

6. Sourcing Support (As Needed)
- Source candidates via LinkedIn and other platforms
- Maintain pipelines and support hard-to-fill roles

Deliverables & Expectations
- Weekly reporting on pipeline, interviews, and risks
- Consistent candidate communication
- Accurate ATS documentation
- Interview scheduling

Engagement Model
- 1099 Contractor
- Access to company email and Greenhouse
- ~10 roles, 30–40 hours per role
- 45-day probationary period

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple roles
- Sourcing experience
- Ability to work independently

Selection Process
- Proposal submission
- Interviews with People and Culture department and VP of Finance and Business Operations
- Evaluation based on experience and independence
