Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Atlassian Admin with 2-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Atlassian tools and will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products within an agile team environment. This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams who operate in two-week sprints, ensuring that the Atlassian ecosystem supports efficient and collaborative workflows. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to improve team productivity through the effective use of Atlassian tools. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a high-performing agile team.

 

Job Duties

  • Administer and configure Atlassian tools, including Jira, Jira Service Management, Assets, Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery, in alignment with agile best practices.

  • Support teams working in a two-week sprint cycle by customizing Jira workflows, boards, plans and dashboards to reflect sprint goals and progress.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, roles, and group configurations to ensure proper access control and efficiency within an agile framework.

  • Customize workflows, fields, permissions, and notifications to support team needs, ensuring smooth operation during sprints.

  • Provide timely support for troubleshooting and resolving issues with Atlassian tools, keeping teams running smoothly throughout sprint cycles.

  • Integrate Jira with other tools and third-party systems to create a seamless workflow for development and product teams.

  • Manage Atlassian Marketplace app requests, their configurations, and deployment across the business.

  • Stay current on Atlassian product updates, recommending new features and tools that can enhance the efficiency of sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.

 

Atlassian Domains

  • Jira Software: Customization of agile boards, sprint planning, backlog management, and reporting on team velocity and burndown charts.

  • Jira Service Management: Configuring request types and SLAs to ensure that service requests align with sprint schedules.

  • Confluence: Managing spaces, permissions, and templates to facilitate documentation for sprint planning, retrospectives, and collaborative work.

  • Jira Product Discovery: Supporting product teams by managing discovery processes and integrating them into agile workflows.

  • Jira Integrations: Seamless integration of Jira with DevOps tools, communication platforms, and other systems to support agile collaboration.

 

Required Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience administering and configuring Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence in an agile environment.

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.

  • Experience with configuring Jira boards, workflows, and dashboards to support teams working in two-week sprint cycles.

  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and experience with sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions that minimize downtime and keep agile teams on track.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

  • Attention to detail, with a focus on enhancing productivity and efficiency in sprint cycles.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Jira Product Discovery, OpsGenie, Compass, DX, and Customer Service Management

  • Atlassian certification (e.g., Jira Administrator or Jira Service Management Administrator).

  • Familiarity with scripting tools like ScriptRunner to automate sprint-related processes.

  • Prior experience in a DevOps or technical support role, supporting agile development teams.

  • Experience managing Atlassian tools in cloud environments
