Job Summary
MycoWorks is seeking a Senior Manager, Operations, to lead our office in Igualada, Spain. This role is responsible for overseeing tannery partnerships while managing an internal cross-functional development team. This position requires strong business acumen, relationship management, and leadership skills to drive execution while balancing long-term strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the MycoWorks Spain (MWSP) team, ensuring alignment with MycoWorks’ business objectives, organizational growth, and long-term scalability.
- Drive relationships with tannery partners and suppliers.
- Work closely with Commercial and Manufacturing teams to align supply capabilities with business forecasts, production requirements, and market opportunities.
- Identify and drive business improvements, ensuring partners are meeting efficiency and output goals that support commercial success.
- Manage development of systems within tanneries including visualizations, throughput modeling, capacity planning, etc.
- Represent MycoWorks in strategic discussions with tannery partners, ensuring the company’s interests are protected while fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in business management, supplier relations, or manufacturing leadership, ideally in textiles, advanced materials, specialty manufacturing, or adjacent industries.
- Proven leadership experience, managing both external supplier relationships and internal cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to translate business objectives into execution plans, ensuring commercial, quality, and operational goals align.
- Experience working with supplier performance management, contract negotiations, and business strategy execution.
- Highly adaptable, with a strategic mindset and the ability to balance execution with long-term business planning.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Additional proficiency in French is preferred.
- Experience working with development trials, new product introduction (NPI), and supplier quality assurance is a plus.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed
