At MyForest Foods, we are expanding our food production operation. We are adding an additional Floor Lead to meet the demands of our expanded production schedule (extending day to 6:30 or 7pm). This role will be the Floor Lead for the late morning to close shift). An ideal applicant will showcase their leadership abilities by leading the floor to produce efficiently, safely, and productively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Floor leader of MyBacon and MyPulled Pork ensuring daily operations tasks are completed, under the direction of PR2 supervisor
• Holds the responsibility for running the room when the PR2 supervisor is not in the room and responsibility for closing out the room at the end of each operational day
• On floor performing all duties of a Senior Production Operator for the majority of the shift duration
• Additionally the point person for organizing individual efforts in the room, for questions from the team in the absence of the PR2 Supervisor, and for communication outside the room (slack, status posts, drop-ins from leadership, etc…) in the absence of the PR2 supervisor
• Responsible for overall floor organization, cleanliness, and following sanitation schedule.
• Ensure production meets established quality specifications and that all data collection, CCPS, and sanitation practices are followed
• Train and hold team members accountable to Standard Operating Procedures and completion of tasks in a timely manner.
• Conduct inspections of inbound/outbound material to ensure quality and supply chain SOPs are met
• Ensure a safe working environment, and report to management anything that can be done to improve safety. Observe and review behaviors of team members to ensure a safety first mindset, including coaching and redirecting unsafe behaviors
• Conduct regular inventory counts and ensure FIFO and lot traceability is being maintained.
• Manage and organize receiving documents, pick/pack slips, bill of ladings, and any other needed documents.
• Perform inventory control of materials, as required by management
• Other ad-hoc duties and projects are done from time to time and based on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

• Experience in production, preferably in food
• Comfortable with operating large scale equipment.
• NYS Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Emphasis on quality control and cleanliness
• Conforms to safe practices.
• Requires a level of interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with team members.
• Good verbal and written communication
• Confidence in suggesting ideas and receiving feedback on ideas.
• Safety priority mindset and actively points out ways to improve safety on the job. Safety conscious with organizational and housekeeping skills integrated into work habits.
• Moderate math skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Excited about the meat alternative market with ability to compare traditional products to alternative meat products.
