Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making as we continue to scale. This role oversees day-to-day accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities, partnering closely with leadership to improve processes and implement best-in-class financial controls.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

  • Oversee bank, merchant, and payment platform reconciliations (Stripe, Deel, PayPal, etc.).

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting by providing timely financial data and variance analysis.

  • Partner with the COO and department heads to support financial planning and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

  • Manage and refine financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Gusto, Google Sheets).

  • Support cash flow management and internal reporting needs as the company grows.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.

  • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience (startup, fintech, or SaaS experience a plus).

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance.

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel/Google Sheets, and financial automation tools.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work independently.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and functions.
