MYLK STUDIOS - Lingerie Designer

You are inventive, endlessly curious and a fan of lifelong learning. You will work side-by-side with experienced Industry professionals from True&Co, Calvin Klein and Victoria’s Secret to build a new online lingerie brand that combines a strong technical design foundation with sexy new design.

At Mylk, we create lingerie and loungewear that is stunningly beautiful and of high quality. As a valued member of our close-knit design team, you will conceptualize and own your designs from initial sketch to final garment for production, partnering with our cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive line of financially viable products within each collection.

Your Responsibilities

• Own the full design development process of your styles and collections from concept through to production.
• Collaborate directly with our founder and senior team to ideate and to evolve your concepts based on feedback and the standards and values this brand represents.
• Create accurate technical flats and CAD design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, employing the necessary Adobe tools (fills / brushes / masks etc.) to create the best garment representation.
• Work together with the technical design team to fit Initial prototypes through to base size fit approval, relaying necessary fit comments to our overseas and domestic factories, adjusting designs based on collective feedback and brand fit standards.
• Conduct extensive market research from fashion resources, social media and other novel sources to identify what resonates design and concept-wise with our target demographic.
• Meet regularly with our preferred raw materials suppliers to research new innovations, source and / or develop seasonal lace / fabric / trims / embroideries and accessories, in partnership with our European and Asia Pacific partners to deliver novel, financially-viable components for use in our designs.
• Collaborate effectively with our international manufacturing partners to facilitate a smooth, efficient product development and sample process, adhering to design calendar deadlines.

Why You’re The One We’re Looking For

• Strong creative design skills and the ability to present those designs to your team, from hand sketching to CAD.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign - 3D Design / Clo or print repeat / design a bonus.
• Strong degree of comfort with online collaboration and presentation tools.
• 3-5 years experience in the fashion industry, in lingerie or swim
• Experience with technical construction and patternmaking as well as an understanding of raw materials
• BA/BFA in Fashion Design or Contour Fashion
